Thank you to Scrumptbox for providing product in exchange for review. All opinions are mine.
Making your kids lunch can be such a task whether you save it for the morning of, or the night before. Either way you are stuck trying to figure out a new meal they haven’t ate a hundred times already, or revamping a meal they’ve already had to look look new. On top of everything us parents have planned, scheduled and squeezed into our daily agenda it would be nice to have some tasks delegated to someone else. The team at Scrumptbox have you covered!
Scrumptbox is a company that sends you proportioned lunches weekly! Once you sign up you make a profile that includes your child’s name and age as well as allergens and taste preferences. Once you have your profile set up the next step is delivery, which happens every Saturday. Once delivered the only step left is assembly!
I received a weekly lunch box for both my 3 year old and my 1 year old. Included was a welcome card, a healthy hydration tips card,
individualized lunch bags, recipe/instruction cards for each lunch,
a napkin pack, joke cards, and a shopping list.
The shopping list included the amount of each fresh ingredient I would need in order to complete the lunches. The shopping list was written out with pictures so that my children could look and help shop for each thing listed. Peace of mind was also given as a majority of the delivered ingredients were organic.
Once it came down to assembly I was able to put the lunch together in just about 10 minutes. My children aren’t school age yet, so I have no real experience with this, but I felt 10 minutes was easily doable the night before school. My 3 year old was even able to help put the lunch together. The first meal we made was an Apple sun butter sandwich, with organic raisins inside. The sides for this lunch were rice crackers, fruit leather, and fresh garden carrots. All of the lunches included each food group, but what I really appreciated was that the protein portions weren’t densely meat based.
For the real test, was it enjoyed by both of my children? Yes my 3 year old loved the number of options he had to choose from, not to mention the difference in items.
Normally we are a leftovers-for-lunch family. Scrumptbox opened a new door of selections and reminded me that sometimes presentation really makes a difference in meal time. My 1 year old wasn’t able to eat the apple sandwich exactly how a sandwich is normally eaten so hers was eaten in a more deconstructed sandwich style.
Overall I found Scrumptbox to be a huge helper when it comes to lunch time. I didn’t have to worry about what was on the lunch menu that day and that alone sometimes can be a huge relief! Scrumptbox is something I can definitely see myself using once my little ones are in school and at $24.00 for five lunches I’m sold! Scrumptbox also offers a 3 meal a week plan ($19) as well as a travel survival kit ($18.95).
I am a stay at home mother of two, who loves to create in every form, from cooking, to henna, to painting or sculpting, creating with my hands is my passion! I love to dance and let loose when the music flows right. Being outside is a special kind of therapy I think humans need more of as well as mindfulness! I love all things new and adventurous and am always looking to experience more of life 🙂

I love the boxes with little notes. It keeps the kids busy and interested in eating. It’s hectic to pack travel worthy lunches so it may be worth the price now and then. A treat I would try once in a while.

Wow,I think my grandson would really enjoy it!
I had not heard of this box but it sounds like a handy thing. Not sure about the price but I am not up to date on the cost of school lunches anymore.
