This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Stride Rite for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Kelsie turned 2 in March so she’s almost 2.5 now and she is as talkative and active as can be. She loves shoes that she deems “pretty” which usually means a bright color. She’s been really close to changing shoe sizes lately, and big brother Drew is preparing to begin Kindergarden next month so we thought it was a good time for both kids to get new shoes.
We headed to Target and Kelsie was immediately drawn towards a pair of Surprize for girls silver sparkly shoes called Kandace which are available in toddler shoe sizes 5-12. I couldn’t blame her for being drawn in by the sparkly silver combined with bright pink because I admit they were pretty cute! Surprize is a line from Stride Rite brand shoes that is available at all US Target stores and online at Target.com. The line is designed for kids roughly ages 6 months to 4 years. The display had interesting facts and info displayed. For example, it said that the average child experiences growth spurts often enough that their feet should be measured every 2-3 months.
Stride Rite shoes are made with a generous fit because they know that a significant portion of young children have wide feet. They are made with memory foam footbeds for optimum comfort and a flexible outsole to allow for an agile and natural step and growth which is so important with the toddler crowd and their active and growing feet.
The Surprize by Stride Rite line at Target meets all of the aspects that I hope to find in shoes for babies and toddlers because they are comfortable, flexible, affordable, durable and cute. I love how they are easy to put on too (no laces to deal with) which means it’s quicker to get Kelsie ready to leave the house and we don’t have to worry about laces coming undone and causing her to trip or fall.
In fact, they were so cute that Kelsie didn’t want to wait until she got home to wear them and she hugged the box the entire time we were in the store.
If you have a little boy, don’t fret because you can still Shop Surprize by Stride Rite! Target also has a Surprize for boys line available with adorable shoes for little guys.

We have always loved Stride Rite. We had a pair (or two) when our kiddo was younger. I like how they take the time to make sure the kids shoes fit them right not to ruin their growth.

So cute, the way your daughter feels about her new shoes is how I feel about Target. I’m a regular shopper and I’ve purchased shoes for my toddler, my ten year old son and myself. They offer a great selection.

Love all the pink shoes and really like the Stride Rite brand. I even try on the shoes at Target since it’s so convenient and low stress. Hate having people wait on me and with kids, well, it can be a headache. Your kids look happy with the shoes chosen too.
I’ve seen these shoes at Target and was thinking about trying some for my son.
