Thank you to Try the World for giving me product in exchange for review purposes, all opinions are my own.

We have already discussed the hassles of traveling in a previous post, so theres no hope there. I do have a solution to world experience however, that really makes things more convenient. Try the World is a subscription box that sends out every two months. Inside the subscription box you’ll find carefully articulated full size food products themed around a different country.

I was sent a subscription box with the theme country of Japan. Inside I found a booklet describing the uses of a few items as well as a couple recipes to use them in. Tucked away inside I found a product information card giving me some background into each product and a more detailed description. The detailed description was so helpful given everything was written in Japanese.

A lot of the items were very foreign to me and I have yet to use a few of them. Some of the high points of the box weren’t only high points for me but for my whole family. My son, daughter, husband and I all really appreciated the caramels that were included inside the box. They had a creamy and rich flavor, you almost felt bad for swallowing it too soon.

A traditional green tea was also inside the box. My 3 year old son is a fan of tea and was very excited to give this a try. He showed his enthusiasm by drinking the whole glass and sharing only a small portion with his younger sister.

The other couple items inside the Japanese themed Try the World box was a traditional themed packaged dinner, a vinegar type sauce, rice noodles, seaweed strips and some gummy type fruit snacks! Overall I liked this box as it was a new experience for me. Im not one hundred percent sure that Japanese themed was just right for me but the thought of potentially tasting even more countries and flavors is pretty tempting. I think this could make a great gift for anyone who loves world travel or anyone who wishes they could travel.

I love reading about all these subscription boxes and how unique they are. I’ve always wanted to try seaweed but haven’t yet. I know it’s supposed to be good for you. I also like to savor the treats I get in those boxes, since you only get one sample! Great portion control, right?!
