When you purchase Tyson® products that have the Tyson Project A+™ you can clip the label off and turn them in to your local school and the school will be able to turn the labels in to get money back for the school. Look for the following items that have Tyson Project A+™ included on the back:
Honey BBQ Chicken Wyngz* – Any’tizers® snacks
Buffalo Style Boneless Chicken Wyngz* – Any’tizers® snacks
Popcorn Chicken- Any’tizers® snacks
Homestyle Chicken Fries – Any’tizers® snacks
Right now, you can visit the Tyson branded page on the Walmart website to nominate a school of your choosing for the Tyson Project A+™ contest. The winning school will receive $1,000 worth of Tyson Project A+™ labels to give them a great head start. I am nominating my school system (Olivet Community Schools) for several reasons:
- The school district has been gaining students for several years in a row and could use the extra funding for additional supplies.
- Technology is constantly improving, and extra budget money can assist with making that possible.
- Classrooms could always use more pencils, paper, erasers, tissues, etc.
- Art classes have many more projects open up to them when they have a budget that allows for a wide range of supplies to be purchased.
- Kids in all grades benefit from hands-on learning experiences that field-trips can provide, and more money can result in more field trips.
Visit the Tyson Project A+™ page on Walmart.com to nominate your school. It’s easy to do, you simply log in using your Walmart account (or create one for free if you don’t currently have one).
I love using Tyson® Any’tizers® products at home because they are a protein-packed source of all-white meat and the varieties available are delicious. Plus, they are really easy to make because I just pop them in the oven for the specified amount of time and once finished they are done. By purchasing these products I can make my family quick and easy meals while also giving back to my school when we turn in the labels. I wanted to turn Tyson® Any’tizers® Popcorn Chicken into a quick and easy meal, and I came up with this Popcorn Chicken Potato Bowl. I cooked the Tyson® Any’tizers® Popcorn Chicken in the oven as the package said. While the chicken was cooking I made some dry baked potato soup mix and added a little instant potato flakes to make the consistency closer to mashed potatoes. Once both the mashed potatos and chicken were done I simply combined them. If you don’t have a dry baked potato soup mix, you could just make mashed potatoes and add the extras that you desire on your own. My mix included onions, seasoning and green onions which was perfect but you could also add in bacon, green beans, cheese or gravy if you like.

We do the Tyson chicken labels at our school. It’s a great project. And I love the chicken potato bowls-I make them every so often for dinner and my kids love them.

Good luck with getting your school selected! I know things are really tight for a lot of schools right now, we are very lucky to be in a district that is thriving.

I think KFC does something similar, with mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, and chicken if I recall correctly. It sounds really good!

I did not know about this program until I saw it on one of their packages. I did not have enough time to read the whole thing in the store. Thank you for this information.

That sounds like a good program. I do the boxtops one, but didn’t know about this. Good luck with your school.
