One thing I’ve learned as a parent is that it can be quite chaotic any time we leave the house. Not only do I feel like I’m asking “where are your shoes” a million times, everyone is trying to scramble and grab a book, toy, snack, or other item for the car ride. No matter how hard I try, it seems like we are always dodging out the door at the absolute last second to ensure an on-time arrival and someone is always sad that something was forgotten. Add in the fact that our vehicle seems to collect junk and we have quite the disorganized mess going on. I know that I am not the only parent dealing with these issues, and since the art of invention seems to be necessity, another mom who was struggling during a long commute with her children created the ultimate solution. ZoomKIT!
The ZoomKIT is a portable table and activity system that offers a variety of features. Weighing in at only 2 pounds, the ZoomKIT is constructed with a soft and slightly flexible but extremely solid and sturdy EVA foam. It’s designed to be portable and the legs are even able to be removed for a flatter storage option. We’ve had other car travel accessories before but this is the first one that has legs that fit well and solidly in a car seat! There is also an adjustable velcro strap that can be used to secure the ZoomKIT around the child’s waist, which is handy in case they fall asleep as many children do on longer car rides.
Also available are ZoomIN Inserts, ZoomART, and ZoomSNACK accessories. All of these Inserts are specially made to fit into the top compartment of the ZoomKIT. They slide in and out easily enough that our children are able to operate the entire system themselves yet snug enough that they hold in place during travel. The ZoomIN inserts are perfect for small toys and trinkets and are great at keeping the kids entertained. Changing out the toys from time to time keeps everything fresh and fun. The ZoomART includes space themed stickers, 2 activity books, dry erase pens and crayons, and an eraser. Finally, there is the ZoomSNACK insert. Three good sized portion areas and an attached spork offer great options for packing a snack or meal.

The ZoomKIT is currently available in either Fuchsia or Turquoise. So if I had to be picky and choose one thing to change, I’d love to see the ZoomKIT offered in a more gender neutral color such as lime green or a dark purple.
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

What a nifty idea! Traveling can be such a pain when items are scattered all over the back seat and kids are asking for something that they can ‘t reach! This will solve so many issues and make traveling more fun for everyone!
