Trident is sponsoring this blog post. I am a member of the Mom It Forward blogging network. All opinions are my own.
I’ve heard the Trident commercials advertising that 4 out of 5 dentists surveyed would recommend Trident to their patients. Chewing Trident for 20 minutes after eating and drinking can help clean and protect teeth. Of course, this should be done in addition to brushing twice a day for at least two minutes each, flossing regularly, and seeing your dentist twice a year.
Trident is one of my favorite brands of gum because it’s sugar-free which makes it guilt-free for me. I also like how you get lots of pieces per pack, how the pieces are soft, how they have both minty and fruity flavors and how the flavor isn’t overwhelming even when you first bite into it. My sisters kids know I always have gum on me, and Trident is my go-to brand because it comes in flavors that I like (minty) without being too strong (or as the kids say “hot”) for them. It’s not surprising to me that Trident is the leading sugar-free gum brand in the US.
What I didn’t know was Trident doesn’t just encourage positive dental health through encouraging to use their product between brushing, but they also support Smiles Across America. Smiles Across America is group that has helped more than two million under-served children get preventative dental care. Trident has been helping Smiles Across America for 11 years and has donated $2,500,000 to the cause! This is much-needed money at a time in our country where so many people are without health insurance or without affordable insurance.
During the week of September 20th (next week) Trident has agreed to donate .05 to Smiles Across America for every pack of Trident purchased in the US, excluding AL, MA and SC, up to a total of $250,000!
I will be picking up a few packs next week so I can help Smiles Across America while also stocking up on my favorite gum.
Does your family like Trident? Will you be purchasing next week to help support Smiles Across America?

I love it when I find out companies I already like and use support charities in the community. We love Trident because it’s sugar free and has so many flavored. I also like the smaller pieces.

Thanks so much for the reminder to buy more Trident. I give it to the kids (and big kido’s) for those times when we can’t brush.
