As I mentioned in previous post My husband and I recently joined a gym. We do our best to incorporate eco-friendly materials into our everyday lives, things like glass water bottles and reusable lunch bags. My first thought when we joined the gym was to maintain that same goal and incorporate as much eco-friendly materials as we could in this new venture for our lives.
Green Apple Active is a company that uses Bamboo material to construct their wardrobe pieces. Why bamboo you might ask? Bamboo can really offer a lot of benefits to your wardrobe! Antibacterial qualities are something that bamboo is known to possess naturally. So when you get out of the gym and stash your clothes into your gym bag and forget about em, you can thank bamboo for the lack of stench your clothing will contain! Bamboo fabric is also very absorbent which means the copious amounts of sweat produced while shredding at the gym will be absorbed by your clothing and kept off your skin. Hypoallergenic qualities is something I would have never thought about in a fabric but bamboo has it and for good reason. No more worries if you have heat sensitive skin the bamboo breathes!
I received a Tunic Bra in Vintage watercolor wash along with Watercolor yoga shorts. I loved the color choice for all of the activewear Green Apple Active offers.
The styles were so fitting for myself personally. I love that the styles work for yoga and working out as well as everyday wear! The softness of the bamboo is out of this world. Something I was unaware of before receiving is that Green Apple Active uses bamboo fabrics that are naturally treated with UPF 40 to cut out 97.5% of the harmful UV rays. The sizing for the items I received was dead on, everything fit perfectly. Given that bamboo is so stretchy and soft I have room to grow in these a bit if needed without feeling the growth in my clothing. As far as workout wear these are amazing. The fit was supportive yet giving where it needed to be. As gross as some think it is, I sweat a lot at the gym and wearing these clothes helped make that not such an embarrassing problem when stepping off the equipment. Green Apple is more than an eco-friendly product, they are an eco-friemdly company, they use small metal safety pins to hold tags on instead of plastic tags! The company is also extremly transparent posting their eco certification on their site! Did i mention everything was shipped in biodegradable packaging?
I really love all the styles from Green Apple Active and they will continue to be a staple in my activewear/everyday wear wardrobe.

I love that it’s made of bamboo … why wouldn’t you want your workout gear to be naturally antibacterial? Glad to find out about this brand.

These are super cute! I love bamboo fabrics for the reasons you mentioned- especially that it’s just so soft (and seems to get softer with each wash), but I have no idea why I never thought about bamboo workout gear! I’ll have to check them out. The designs are great, too!
