I have been provided with a Nutrisystem plan in exchange for sharing my honest experience and results on my blog. All opinions are my own.

I was looking forward to this post all week. At the end of last month I put together a before and after photos collage to share with you guys and was amazed at the progress Ryan has made on his weight loss journey. I expected the difference to be less this month just because it’s typical to lose more weight early on in the diet process, but I was still excited to see the side by side comparisons.

Before I get to that, I have to share an uncomfortable truth with you all. The scale didn’t move at all this week – Ryan weighed in at exactly the same amount as last week. We have really been pushing ourselves in our workouts, and twice this week Ryan has drenched every square inch of the t-shirts he was wearing while working out. One day we were in the backyard working out for over two hours. Plus, Ryan hasn’t strayed away from the plan at all so we were hoping for slightly higher than average weight loss this week and were disappointed by the lack of change.

Part of Nutrisystem involves choosing SmartCarbs and PowerFuels – some PowerFuels and SmartCarbs are a little hard to judge the right size of – such as 2oz of low fat beef or a “medium” banana. I had read online that fruit can vary a LOT in size, so a medium-sized banana at one grocery store might be TWICE as big as the “average” or “medium” banana at another store. We’ve also been estimating 2oz of lean meats which we may be accidentally going over on. To solve these issues, we have purchased a kitchen scale which just came in the mail today. Now we will be able to look up how many grams the average banana is (126 grams is a “medium” banana) and weigh his PowerFuels and SmartCarbs to eliminate the guesswork. We hope this will ensure that he’ll be successful at getting the scale to move in future weeks.

Anyway, here is Ryan’s 2 month progress pictures. The first row is the beginning, the second row is the end of week 4, and the last row is the end of week 8 (which is where he is right now). His current weight loss total is 25.5 pounds. Nutrisystem is definitely working for him!
