*I was sent YummySnack bars for review. All opinions are my own.
The past few months my boyfriend & I have been working on getting healthier through exercising regularly and eating better. While our #1 goal is eating low calorie, we are also paying attention to fiber content because fiber keeps you feeling fuller longer, which can help you stay under your calorie limit without feeling hungry.
Ryan is currently on a diet that requires that he eats a few snacks a day that are roughly 100 calories and have at least 1 gram of fiber each. YummyHealth bars have 8 grams of fiber in their Brownie bars, and 7 grams of fiber in their Peanut Butter and Cookie Dough bars so they are a great source of fiber. These three varieties range from 130 to 150 calories per bar and come individually packaged making them ideal for taking on the go.
I don’t care for any kind of chocolate, so I left the taste-testing of these bars up to Ryan.
The Brownie YummySnack bars were his least favorite. He thought at first that they were dark-chocolate based (he does not like dark chocolate) because it wasn’t at all like milk-chocolate (which he likes). We checked the package and they are actually cocoa flavored instead of dark or light chocolate but that kind of described why the brownie didn’t taste the way that Ryan was expecting. We opted to give these to a family member to keep instead. He said he thinks these might be enjoyable for people who enjoy dark chocolate or the really strong cocoa flavor.
Thankfully, Ryan had a more positive experience with the peanut butter and cookie dough bars. He’s tried several high-fiber snacks and snack bars, and he feels that there is a certain aftertaste remaining with some high fiber foods. In his words, “I can definitely tell that they are a diet food, but they aren’t bad”. We were also sent coconut bars but he hasn’t tasted those quite yet.
In addition to the high fiber count, there are several other brag-worthy aspects of YummySnack bars:
- Gluten Free
- Low Sugar
- Protein
- Omega 3s
- All natural colors and flavors
- no high-fructose corn syrup
- no artificial preservatives
- no trans fat or hydrogenated oils
YummyHealth brand products (YummySnack bars and YummySnack chips) are available at CVS, Sprouts, Schnucks, Hi-Health, Winn Dixie and online.

Thanks for the detailed review,i think i would like the like the coconut .
I like they have so much fiber and protein, also what I look for in my nutrition bars. I think I’d like the coconut or brownie flavors. I’m not too picky but PB is not always a fave of mine.
