I received products from Wise Food Storage for my review. All opinions and photos are my own.
We have all seen shows about doomsday preppers. I think some of the people on those shows take things way to far. Others, I think are spot-on. It’s important to be ready for any situation you may find yourself in, but it is also important to find a balance and not let your fears control your life.
I have begun a stock pile of items that would make my family more comfortable in any emergency situation that we found ourselves in. One of the obvious items to stock in your emergency preparedness kit is food. I received a collection of shelf-stable meals from Wise Food Storage. My package included Pasta Alfredo with Chicken, Noodles and Beef in Savory Mushroom Sauce, Chili Mac with Beef, Creamy Pasta and Vegetable Rotini with Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken and Rice, and Cheesy Lasagna. Wise Food Storage meals are easy to prepare by simply adding boiling water. Each packet makes two full servings.
When you stock your emergency preparedness kit with food, it is important for your meals to be shelf stable. Wise Food Storage gives their meal packages a shelf life of seven years. Their meal buckets have a self-life of up to twenty five years.
For those of you with a gluten allergy don’t worry. Wise Food Storage also offers delicious gluten-free options.
If you aren’t sure how much food you should pack in your emergency preparedness kit, on the Wise Food Storage website, they have a handy calculator that will help you figure it out. In all the materials I have ready, it is suggested that you have AT LEAST one week of food and water per person. Many reports suggest you have a year’s worth for each person in your family.
In addition to emergency situations, Wise Food Storage meals are also great for camping, hunting, hiking, backpacking, backwoods skiing and other outdoor adventures.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I can’t believe how good their products look. I received a free sample from them and can’t wait to try it out. I would love to try their powered eggs.
I like to read as many of these emergency food reviews as possible since they can vary. I also have a pasta alfredo in my emergency food supply which I haven’t tried. I received many pouches of orange drink, which is to me like flavored sugar water and I probably won’t use (except for energy if I was in extreme peril!) Thanks for the review.
