Thank you to Lost My Name for providing me with product in exchange for review purposes. All opinions belong to me.
Having a unique name is something I have learned to cherish. It does have its drawbacks in the younger years. Things like gaining courage to repeat your name to someone who mispronounced it, but the most common and most obvious one was no name personalization on things I owned. All stores had the common names on keychains or bike license plates and I always wanted that. It wasn’t until I grew up that I really appreciated having such an uncommon name. I valued an uncommon name so much that I gave that same gift to my kids! Lost My Name makes those bittersweet younger years of non personalization disappear. Lost my name also understands the importance of reading and one on one bonding time with your children.
Lost My Name is a company that recognizes the importance a name really is. The founders have not only set out to make each child feel special but have really committed to cherishing the individuality of each and every child, through an adventure book all about them.
I received two Lost My Name books for review. Designing a personalized book for your little one is as easy as visiting the website choosing gender and typing in your child’s name. After the name is entered you are offered a preview of each page of the book you will receive. Each book can be personalized with a note to the child from the gift giver.
The plot of the book follows a little boy or girl (whichever you chose) in their journey to meeting and helping beautiful mystical creatures and in the end finding themselves within the adventure.
The illustrations within this book are whimsical and detailed. Each page was carefully crafted to exude emotion and curiosity which pairs perfectly with the story line. The story is compassionate and inspiring especially for the littlest hearts. This book would be the perfect gift for any child from infant to teen.
Lost My Name spent critical hours developing and designing an amazing story. I love that the story line follows a character that you grow to root for and love through out each page and in the end your child finds out the adventurer they found so captivating was themselves. Is there a better way to inspire a little one?
I am a stay at home mother of two, who loves to create in every form, from cooking, to henna, to painting or sculpting, creating with my hands is my passion! I love to dance and let loose when the music flows right. Being outside is a special kind of therapy I think humans need more of as well as mindfulness! I love all things new and adventurous and am always looking to experience more of life 🙂

Thanks for sharing this, such books are really a great gift for kids, a wonderful Xmas present too. I like how the publisher has come up with this innovative idea of encouraging children with their unique names. It would be so much fun for kids to listen whether he or she is the boy or the girl. I think it helps them build their self assurance too.

This would made a good Christmas gift. I always felt bad for kids with non-traditional names since I loved looking for my name at the souvenir shops. There were always at least three versions of Debbie! I love the pastel book colors too.
