I received products from Wagner for my review. All opinions and photos are my own.
We recently moved into a new home. The house we purchased was built in 1989. For a twenty six year old house, it is in amazing shape. All we really needed to do to make it our home were some cosmetic updates.
If you can remember 1989, wall paper was really popular. Our house has ten different wallpapers as proof. Just like the construction of the house, the wall paper application was done to perfection. This wall paper isn’t coming down without a fight. I knew I was going to need help and the right tools. I went to a local hardware store and talk with the specialists. They all suggested we get a Wagner steamer. I reached out to Wagner and they were happy to send me a couple products for our home makeover.
For my review, I received an On-Demand 915 Power Steamer and a Flexio 890 Paint Sprayer.
Using the On-Demand 915 Power Steamer was a fun and new experience. The On-Demand 915 Power Steamer has a pressurized steam system that enables you to apply steam for up to 45 minutes per fill. I used the included steam plate for my project. I carefully followed the instructions and got to work. As per the specialist’s suggestions, I had already scored the wallpaper to allow the steam to better penetrate the wall paper. Applying steam helped loosen up the sticky paste making it easier for me to peel off the paper. The On-Demand 915 Power Steamer has been a great help in our project.
The On-Demand 915 Power Steamer also comes with attachments that work for cleaning your grills, stove tops, grout, and more.
Once the wallpaper was removed and I cleaned the walls, repaired any blemishes and allowed them to thoroughly dry. It was finally time to paint! I painted my trim with a handheld paint brush. Then I used my new portable Flexio 890 Paint Sprayer for the main part of the walls. The Flexio 890 Paint Sprayer was designed for optimal control of paint spray, ease of use and design versatility. I had never used a paint sprayer so this was also a new experience for me. I have to admit I was a bit intimidated, but I followed the manufactures instructions and did just fine. The Flexio 890 Paint Sprayer was easy to use and saved me a lot of time…and muscle ache.
The Flexio 890 Paint Sprayer works well with indoor and outdoor paint projects.
We still have work to do on making our new house our home, but Wagner has helped the process go faster.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Your before & after is beautiful! These products are pretty awesome time and work savers. I’m in the middle of painting, decorating, and furnishing my first apartment and these would certainly be quite handy. Thanks for the review. 🙂

I’ve never used a steamer or paint sprayer and now live in an apartment so can’t do it. I’d love to refurbish an old house like my sister is doing so all this is good to know. I love your results! Good to know it was fun and not work!

Our first house had wallpaper that was at least 25 years old, they called the wallpaper an “antique!” It had to go! It was awful getting it down. If I ever do that again I want to use this steamer and the sprayer – so much easier if you have a lot of rooms to do. It can take forever doing it by hand, or you’ll hire someone and it can cost a small fortune! It came out so nice!
Wow I can’t believe it took off all that wallpaper! It’s so much easier than the score and sponge + DIF 😀
