Thank you to Mohu for providing me with product in exchange for review purposes. All opinions belong to me.

My husband and I have always held the same agreement that we would never purchase cable. Cable holds too many negatives in our minds like cost, content, lack of desired shows, and the fact that it encourages you to sit in front of the T.V. for endless shows/hours. Mohu seeks to free you from the cable crisis and value your T.V. without a monthly cost!  Or if you are like us and never had cable to begin with, Mohu supports the choice by giving you more free channels when you do decide to watch.

Mohu Curve 50 HDTV antenna review

I received a Mohu Curve 50 for review. We have had the same broken habit ear style antenna for years, its always kind of worked if you played with if or held one leg up while watching. Our old antenna, unfortunately, was also great as standing out as a huge eye sore next to or on top of our nice flat panel T.V. The Mohu Curve 50 is such an elegant simple design that draws no negative attention to it.

Mohu Curve 50 HDTV antenna review

Upon receiving and hooking up I found that Mohu designed simple explanatory directions that helped assembly commence smoothly. I had no Issues installing and connecting and found it to be extremely simple to use.

With our old antenna we received 25 channels, 11 of which actually came in some of the time. Now 11 might not sound too bad to some of you until I leak the information that a majority were shopping channels and rarely the major channels in our area. Our first scan with he Curve 50 I had set the antenna behind our T.V. and scanned just to see what would happen. With the Curve 50 behind the T.V. we received 15 channels, 15 of which came in pretty strongly. Our T.V. is currently away from a window at this point so placing the Curve 50 in a window wasn’t an option but I did find that setting it below our T.V. and pointing it towards the window did show improvements. After moving it to the new location we scanned and got 23 channels with 20 coming in strongly and 3 having some infrequent interruptions.

Mohu has crafted their antennas to meet not only your decor needs but also your channel receiving range needs. Mohu features a paper thin wall mounted Leaf antenna that ranges from 25 miles to 50 miles. No room on your wall for an antenna? Mohu also offers a shelf antenna option by the name of Curve which ranges from 30 miles to 50 miles. Finally if you live way out in the country Mohu offers an outdoor/attic Sky antenna with a range of 60 miles to keep you covered. A Mohu antenna is the perfect gift for any T.V. lover on you list this year as you could really be saving them some cash once they realize they no longer need to continue that cable bill!

Wow, how much wasted money cable is- this is great!

I never had cable or satellite TV. Heck I didn’t even get a TV until I was 28. I still use a rabbit ears antenna and old-fashioned TV–no flat screen, so this would be something that would interest me. I get a ton of channels and more than I could ever watch so I am not thrilled on spending more money for something I don’t watch often. Thanks for posting!

I just got out of cable TV, the bill keeps going up and up 4 or 5 dlls every time, plus I got fed up with so many commercials and soap operas, and the lock of channels that interested me, I tried one of those antennas for $ 19.99 that came out on the market, advertised ( As Seen on TV ) but didn’t work, I live in a 4 story building, my apartment is on the ground level, so I couldn’t get any channels at all,
