I was sent a jacket from Rhonda Shear. All opinions are my own.
I love getting new clothing. I feel like a cute new outfit gives me a fresh start and just increases my confidence. In fact, clothing is one of my favorite things to get as gifts. Rhonda Shear is a brand of lingerie, sleepwear and apparel that is great to consider shopping at for the close women in your life. If you’re shopping for your significant other, they have a large selection of bras and panties in a range of styles and sizes. If you’re looking for a gift for someone else, they have sleep and apparel selections that have something for everyone.
Several of the items in the sleep and apparel sections appealed to me, but I settled on the Zip Front Jacket. Whenever I see asymmetrical jackets or sweaters online they catch my eye. They always look so cute on models but I had never seen anyone wear one in person. I love the color purple and after seeing that the Zip Front Jacket is available in a purple I decided to give it a try.
When the jacket arrived I was a bit surprised at how it felt. It’s definitely sweater material, very soft and ‘relaxed’ in style. It really flows with gravity and your body instead of having a pre-determined shape that it sticks in. This makes the sweater very comfortable and flexible. The front of the jacket will lay however you arrange it, so I found myself wanting to adjust and re-adjust the sides quite often because it will move around as you move. I pair the jacket with a simple v-cut sweater or shirt and leggings or skinny jeans and it’s very comfortable. I feel like it gathers in my belly area a lot of the time. I think this is mainly due to my “pear” shaped body type. I have wider hips, a small bust and a shorter torso so the jacket catches at my hips and the material above my hips tends to pool on my belly when it is zipped. The jacket isn’t tight on me at all, so it’s not that my hips are too wide for the jacket, it’s just how the material falls on my body. I think my body type is the only body type that this would fit this way on, though. I think if my bust and hips were roughly the same size, or if my chest was larger than my hips that would allow the torso and hip area to flow better from the bust on down. Or for someone with a long and slim torso and hip area it would also flow better. Still, I think it’s a really unique jacket that makes a little statement and it’s really comfortable.
I would recommend it for people with an hourglass, apple or slim body type. It would be perfect for pairing with leggings and an undershirt, so maybe consider it for your legging-loving friend.
