Kids love treats. I remember as a little girl, my parents would occasionally pick up some popsicle or ice cream treats for us kiddos to enjoy. While especially great in the Summer, we were happy to see those boxes any time of year. So now that we have five young children, I love indulging them with treats from time to time as well. What I don’t like, though, are all the additives and color dyes on the ingredient lists! Now I’ve found a better way to offer up some frozen treats.
Zoku Space Pop Molds are designed in a fun Outer Space Theme and offer the opportunity for me to control what I serve. Included in this set is a plastic mold base that holds the 5 rocket shaped molds as well as the 1 astronaut mold and 6 sticks with drip guards. Each piece is reusable so it can be enjoyed time and time again.
When I first opened the package, I was really excited by the simplicity of what we found. So I gave everything a quick wash with hot soapy water and the kids gathered around to create our treats. I grabbed the instructions and was a little disappointed to see that there were no recipes included. So off the top of my head, I quickly decided to create OJ/7 Ice Pops.
OJ/7 Ice Pops:
Mix equal parts of orange juice and 7-up or Sierra Mist
The molds are clearly marked where the “fill line” is so I was confident in how much liquid to add. Once filled and topped with the sticks, we placed in the freezer overnight as it was getting late in the day. The next morning, we decided these would be an okay breakfast treat and grabbed out our base mold. I was thrilled to see how easily each Ice Pop released and the kids were enjoying in no time!
- Verdict: We love this set. It offers an easy use and great results. I really like that I can create healthy concoctions that appeal to our family. Overall, great product that we’d recommend!
- Additional Info: After visiting the Zoku website, I discovered that they offer a variety of fun and fresh recipes on their recipe blog. I’d love to see a small book included with each set, though, so I don’t have to sit on the computer for ideas.

I love all these new molds I’ve been seeing lately. I don’t have a freezer so I can’t use them but I know tons of moms who would love them and they would be perfect for a gift.
These are just too cool. I’ve never seen them before
