Bakery On Main oatmeal

Bakery On Main sent me gluten and GMO free food to review. All opinions are my own.

Bakery On Main is a brand that started as a small bakery in Connecticut. Their products were really popular with people with celiac disease because they were gluten-free. The brand decided to expand and try to get their products out to a larger market because they knew a need for GMO-free foods was out there.

Nobody in my house has celiac disease but we have been focusing on eating a high protein and high fiber diet. When I saw that Bakery On Main offers several products that have brag-worthy nutritional panels because of their protein and fiber levels I decided to give them a try.

Bakery On Main oatmeal

We eat a lot of oatmeal in my house. Bakery On Main offers instant oatmeal in individual packets in yummy flavors like apple pie, and blueberry scone. Their gluten-free instant oatmeal includes gluten-free oats, chia, flax, amaranth and quinoa. Their packets are a bit higher in calorie than I am used to at 200 calories each but they also have more oats per pack (these are 50g vs 40g in my normal brand) and with 5g of fiber and 6g of protein per serving I don’t mind them being a bit higher in calories.  There is a slight texture difference, I think this oatmeal is a bit softer than my usual brand but the taste and convenience is great.

Bakery On Main Nut Crunch

Ryan is always in need of snacks with protein and fiber so he was excited to try Nut Crunch. These are nut-based crunchy snacks that come in flavors like chocolate and peppermint. These are a fun finger-food snack that is similar to a granola or protein bar but in a different form. Ryan found these to be a tasty way to increase his protein and fiber intake for the day. They have 3g of protein and 1g of fiber per 150 calorie serving.

Bakery On Main trueBars

The last item we tried was the Gluten-free coconut cashew bars. Ryan loves cashew nuts and coconuts so I thought this combination would be perfect for him. He enjoyed the texture (it’s on the crunchy side but not too hard) and flavor. The bars have 190 calories making them a nice larger snack or side to a meal. They have 3g of protein and 3g of fiber per bar.

Overall we really enjoyed the Bakery on Main items. I would recommend them to anyone looking for protein and fiber foods and of course to people needing to avoid gluten as well.

Bakery on Main items can be found in select stores like Whole Foods in select states like Iowa, Nebraska, Texas and Arkansas. If you don’t live in or around those areas you can purchase on the Bakery on Main website instead.

I used to eat only gluten free but now that my gut is healed I’m able to eat other foods. I still try to keep mostly gluten free and have wanted to try this brand. Gluten free foods and snacks seem too expensive, that’s my only gripe. I usually like the taste. Glad you enjoyed this brand.

The cereal flavors sounds so yummy. The Coconut-Cashew Bar really sounds good and something I would love to try along with the cereal. My grandchildren love oatmeal and I’m sure this is something they would love to try too!

I don’t specifically eat gluten-free, but I know it would probably help some gut issues. Not sure I am willing to sacrifice calories though. Thanks for the review.
