Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on it’s way! If you haven’t started planning your Easter basket goodies, I suggest you start with Hershey’s. Hershey has so many goodies that are perfect for Easter. Choose from Cadbury Eggs, Whoppers Robin Eggs, Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs, Hershey Miniatures, Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans, and many more.
This is our first Easter in our new home. We are going to have all of our family over for a special get-together. We will have an Easter egg hunt for the kids, a potluck lunch and will do some Easter crafts. It is going to be a great day.
In my generous collection of goodies Hershey’s sent me, I received a package of Twizzler Sour Apple Easter Grass Candy and a package of Cadbury Mini Eggs in White Chocolate. I plan to have all the kiddos make an egg nest with Twizzlers and fill the nest with Cadbury Mini Eggs. I made one for an example. I found it the easiest to wrap a few stands of the Twizzler Candy Grass around my fingers. Then when I had a good start, I place my nest on the table. I pressed down on it to help the pieces of “grass” adhere better. Then I set a few “eggs” inside. Some of my Cadbury Mini Eggs cracked in delivery. I thought this gave the nest a special look, as though I had freshly hatched eggs. I think my nests turned out pretty darn cute. What do you think? The kids are going to have a lot of fun with this activity…making and eating. I think these “nests” would also be cute on top of cupcakes or a full-size cake.
In addition to setting aside Hershey goodies for our Easter baskets, I also used some of my Hershey goodies to fill plastic eggs for our Easter egg hunt. The kids are going to be thrilled when they open their eggs and find all the Hershey goodies inside.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Those plastic eggs take me back. I limit my sugar now since I follow a healthy diet but jelly beans are my weakness and of course they are pure sugar. I will have to see out some sugar-free ones this Easter and get my fix!

I love Cadbury carmel eggs and thank goodness they just come out once a year.
Oh yum, I can’t wait to have some Easter chocolate this year!
