While I’ve always wanted a “cool” bed, I’ve unfortunately always been stuck with boring.  When I was younger, something Princess-like would have sufficed.  As I grew older, almost anything chic and stylish would have been great.  Now as a parent, I’ve been on the hunt for fun options for the kiddos but it seems fruitless to spend a lot of money on a bed that the child will outgrow.  Sure, they have car shaped toddler beds but those have a limited life span.  However, never fear.  I’ve found the most perfect bed that will continue to appeal to kids from the time they leave the crib until the day they get married.  No more replacing perfectly good furniture as the kids grow, this bed has an amazing feature that will keep it fresh, cool, and perfect for every age and stage. We received the Canterbury Twin Size Bed in Satin White Finish for our (almost 11 year old) daughter.  Everything came neatly packed in just two boxes but I realized immediately by the weight of those boxes that this was going to be a great quality bed.

Assembly was very easy and the directions were clear.  The only issue we had was one sticker on the wrong rail so we initially had the rails on opposite sides.  It was a quick fix that only took a couple minutes once we realized the error.  Complete assembly from beginning until end was less than 20 minutes (and that included us having young helpers).

There are lots of great points I want to mention about the assembly and design of this bed.  Each piece is well made and solid, guaranteeing it will last for many years to come.  The attention to detail is clear and the added dimensions on the footboard and headboard really give the bed an overall timeless look.  The slat roll is connected so we just placed it on the frame and rolled it out.  (Each slat then gets screwed into place for ultimate stability.)  The bed rails have two height options; we have ours placed on the higher setting to allow for storage space under the bed.

With over 800 images available, there is definitely something for every personality, age, and preference.  Controlling the LightPanel is simple with the included remote.  It allows for brightness selection as well as timer.  This control offers perfect settings for bedtime reading or even just use as a nightlight!  Plus, LightHeaded Beds even designed a handy seamless storage for the graphics in the footboard.

Final Thoughts:  We are truly impressed with every aspect of our Canterbury LightHeaded Bed.  It is expertly crafted and thoughtfully designed in every aspect.  The LightPanel delivers a beautiful scene while producing no heat or noise.  I love the fact that they offer trundle and storage options to add on to the bed.  It is truly the nicest bed I’ve ever seen and, to be completely honest, I’d love one of my very own if they came in King size!
