I was sent L’oreal paris cosmetics for this review. All opinions are my own.
I wasn’t interested in traditionally ‘girly’ interests as a kid. When I hit middle school, most of my friends were eager to start wearing make-up. During sleep overs or before school dances my friends would talk about and share their make-up but I didn’t really participate. I sometimes wish that I had because once I developed an interest in learning how to do my makeup I was well beyond the age of being able to experiment with a group of friends because they were all pros compared to me.
I sometimes feel comfortable with my make-up skills, but I am still amazed at how many options and products there are out there. I wish I had an unlimited budget to try new cosmetics because I know I could become more confident in my skills if I found the products that are right for me.
Anyway, I’m excited to have partnered with L’oreal Paris to be sent an assortment of their new cosmetics as they come out. I’ll be periodically sharing my experiences with the products that I like the most.
One of my favorites is the L’oreal Paris infallible pro-contour. This comes in different shades to match your complexion. The light pallet works well for me. I hadn’t tried contouring before, and I was impressed with how well this contour set helped shape my face. The top of the pallet has a suggested highlight and contour pattern, or you can google or search pinterest for others that are specific to your face shape. I opted to apply with countouring brushes that I had instead of the one included but I liked the results.
Another product that I thought helped define my face was the L’oreal Paris Brow Stylist prep & shape pro kit. I have really dark hair and my eyebrows are sparse which is a bad combination. I have tried filling in my brows with makeup before, but without the best results. This set has two sides, one that is powdery and the other is a bit more waxy to help hold hairs in place. I still am trying to figure out how to shape them well, but this little brow kit makes it really easy to get a natural looking color because it includes to shades that are similar but different, so your brows aren’t covered in a single color which would seem more unnatural.
My other two new favorites from L’oreal Paris are both for eyes. The infallible matte-matic mechanical eyeliner is nice because it’s really thin and doesn’t ever need sharpened so it’s easy to get smooth lines with. I was sent the deep brown shade which is close to my natural hair color. In the past I’ve always used black eyeliner so I was eager to try a slightly lighter shade. I think it looks really natural on me because it matches my hair color and I like how it’s less dramatic. I think it is nice for a daytime look.
Lastly, I have been enjoying several shades from the L’oreal Paris individual eye shadows. These come in a variety of shades including summers and mattes. I like pairing them together to create a customized look. The day of these photos I planned to wear a red top so I went with a warm blend using 201 and 202 for my brow bone and lash line, band blended 202 into my crease. I don’t care for bold eye shadows so I like how the individual pallets give you the freedom to choose just the shadows you know you’ll use. This combination adds warmth while being subtle which I love.
Have you tried any L’oreal paris cosmetics lately? Which ones are your favorites?

I haven’t worn eye shadow in so long. I have tried this brand though. When I started out in nursing, I slacked off on the makeup, working in the OR, so I should try to get with the program and try it again. I just received a free sample in the mail so will start with that.

I don’t use makeup as a general rule. I’ll wear some blusher and a bit of eyeshadow when my chorus has a concert.

Some of these would make a great addition to my sisters birthday gift! She’s a big fan of L’oreal!

Good ? I should definitely pronounce, impressed with your web site.
I had no trouble navigating through all tabs and related info ended up being truly easy
to do to access. I recently found what I hoped for before you know it at all.
Reasonably unusual. Is likely to appreciate it for those who add forums
or something, site theme . a tones way for your
customer to communicate. Nice task.
Interested in the brow kit. I can’t get my brows to look right.
