Thank you to MindWare for providing me with product in exchange for review all opinions belong to me.

What kid doesn’t love to thump around and whack things? I know that my children love any chance they have to be rough with things and know that they wont break. MindWare’s Thumpin’ Thingdoodles Game is no exception to this rule. My kids were so enthusiastic about using the foam mallets to thump the thing doodles! Im not sure they believed us at first that they could really whack them.

Thumpin’ Thingdoodles is recommended for ages 4 and up but my two year old was able to play along without issue with instruction from me or my husband. The object of the game is to lay out all of the thingdoodles (similar to the slap bracelets from the 90’s), spin the spinner, watch to see which color the spinner lands on and thump all of the correct colored thingdoodles. The player with the 20 correct thingdoodles wins! This game is great for high energy active fun, color recognition, coordination, and counting. So many research studies show the healthy growth of brain development and learning paired with being active and movement, MindWare knows and values this learning relationship and fosters learning in a great atmosphere.

My kids have been really inventive with this game and often times take out the thingdoodles themselves and wear them as bracelets giving each one a different super power and chase and fly around the ling room. My kids did realize that they had to hit the thingdoodles pretty hard and that the longer ones were easier to get to curl up than the smaller ones. Once they both got the hang of the game they were no longer holding back reservation for really thumping! Have a little one you think would love to get active and learn at the same time?

This game looks like it travels well. They sort of look robotic and kids love those I know. It would burn up some of that kid energy, whacking and thumping at the game!
