Staying protected from the suns harmful rays has been big in the news over the past few years. Even though many people know that tanning beds are bad and cause cancer, some still think the regular sun is okay. However, UV damage can occur with as little as one burn so I like to err on the side of caution and keep my family as protected as possible. One of the easiest ways I’ve found to do that is through their clothing and swimwear. By using modest pieces, most of their bodies are covered and protected so it’s easier to reapply sunblock to the small portion still exposed to the sun. Thankfully, Undercover Waterwear is here to help.
Our daughter just turned 11 so I let her browse the Undercover Waterwear Girls Line so she could choose her own set. After much though, she went with the Girls Hibiscus Swim Set because she really loved the bright fun colors and pattern that this set offered. All of Undercover Waterwear is made from 80% Lycra and 20% Spandex combo to provide the best quality and comfort possible. With protection of UPF 50+, I like knowing we can head out for a full day of fun and she will be protected in this adorable Hibiscus Set.
Since sizes were listed in XS through 3X for the girls line, I had to consult the measurements chart and ended up going with a large. I’d say that the large closely associates with a youth 10/12 size as it fits well and should hopefully work for next year too.
Final Thoughts: Overall, this is a really great set. It’s stylish and fun while also being modest and protective. The only thing that I’d love to see changed is the fact that the skirt does NOT have a built in short system so we have to purchase something separate for her to wear underneath. Other than wanting to see that small design change, it’s perfect!

It is so nice to see a company coming out with modest swimwear. There are many of us women and girls who do not want to strip down to where we are almost naked to go swimming. Modesty can still be obtained here.

I have a hibiscus red swim suit and love it. It’s two piece and covers me but love this suit for more coverage for girls. I agree with saving money on the sunscreen and wearing more protective clothing, especially when you’re fair skinned.
