When heading out with young children or a baby in tow, there are so many things I need. From a diaper bag and snacks to toys and a car seat. I haven’t traveled light in over 11 years now! And even though our youngest is nearing two and we are most likely done having biological children, my husband and I have decided to look into getting our foster care license to care for infants and toddlers. So while this is an exciting time as we go through the licensing process, it’s a little nerve racking too. As we wade through paperwork, background studies, and licensor visits, we decided to start getting prepared by picking up some of the equipment we’d need as well.
A big thank you to Graco for providing us with this travel system!
Graco is a name that is well known and has been trusted for decades. Founded back in 1942, they have offered many innovative and helpful products for children over the years. Today, I’m sharing the Graco MODES 3 Lite Click Connect Travel System with you. It’s an affordable option for a carseat and stroller system that has lots of great features.
Assembly was quite simple as the step-by-step instruction manual was really easy to follow. Each page featured the steps by both number, description, and picture. Our 9 year old son assisted me in assembly and we had the stroller ready to roll in about 10 minutes.
One of the biggest things I look for with children’s products is safety. So I was thrilled to see that the MODES 3 Lite Stroller offers a secure buckle that can be utilized as either a 3 or 5 point harness.
The stroller seat is easy to adjust between laying down, sitting up, and everything in between with the multi-position recline system. I love that this allows me to accommodate a variety of ages and stages.
Brakes on strollers is another thing I check out when I’m looking them over. I really prefer that they pass the “flip flop test” as I need to be able to enable and disable while wearing my sandals all summer long. I’m happy to report that the Graco MODES 3 Lite Stroller passed with flying colors.
As mentioned earlier, I don’t think I ever travel light with kids so an adequate basket is really helpful. I am able to fit a fairly large diaper bag in this basket without any trouble.
The two cup holders on the front of the stroller seat offer a slight pivoting motion and are the perfect place for kiddos to keep a bottle, cup, snacks, or other little treasures that are found along the way. My kids will, no doubt, be filling these with rocks (their treasure of choice!)
Another really great thing about the Graco MODES 3 Lite Travel System is that it allows for 5 different ways to ride! This includes forward outward facing with the stroller seat, parent facing with the stroller seat, forward facing with the car seat only, parent facing with the car seat only, and, finally, snapping the car seat into the stroller seat. I LOVE all these options and they are all easy to change between with the Click Connect system!
Some more features of this stroller that I want to make quick mention of include: lightweight sturdy frame, Flexible FastAction™ one-hand quick fold, locking swivel front wheel, parents tray, and auto lock upon folding.
Because this is a travel system, it conveniently includes a matching car seat. This seat is geared for infants from 4# to 35# and up to 32″ long. I’m really excited because it will work great for any foster babies that we take in!
When not in infant mode, this stroller works wonderfully for older babies as well as toddlers as it is rated to hold children up to 50#.
Overall, the Graco MODES 3 Lite Click Connect Travel System is a great set. The fact that the car seat as well as the stroller seat can click in and out with just a quick push of a button is great. The simplicity of the fold is also absolutely outstanding as it works with both the stroller seat on as well as off. If you’re in the market for baby gear, be sure to check this set out.
So what do you think? What’s your favorite feature of the Graco MODES 3 Lite Click Connect Travel System?

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

wowie talk about cup holders! That is amazing. I am always running out of room with mine. I have two cupholders but with the four of us could definitely use a couple more and I love the large canopy

Well first Thank You for looking into fostering that is amazing thing and I wish you all the luck. The stroller I really like that it has the 5 different positions that the kids can ride in Most strollers only have 2.The 3 wheel designs also looks like it would handle better while you are pushing.

Not only do I love all the options and multitasking this system can do, but I like how it takes up so little space on the ground. You can’t take most strollers down a grocery isle without hogging some major space, but this one looks so slim that you could.

This sounds like a great travel system, I love Graco products! 🙂 I actually still have my son’s Graco travel system (I utilized it for his baby sister when she was born) and although we no longer use the infant seat, it’s still going strong!

I just got this travel system and accidentally put the canopy on backwards. Help! Do you know how to get it out?
