It’s summer time! For our family, that means it’s grilling time! Both my husband and I love grilling. Everything tastes better when it’s grilled.
When I grill meat, I always worry about cooking to a safe temperature. I hate cutting meat open to check doneness. I usually end up overcooking meats just to be safe, but then they are dry and chewy. Yuck!
When I was asked to review the Maverick Housewares iChef ET-735 Bluetooth Barbecue Thermometer, I thought it sounded like a useful tool that both my husband and I would benefit from having.
The iChef ET-735 Bluetooth BBQ Thermometer makes cooking outdoors easy. The ET-735 comes with two 36″ long water resistant probes. The probe wire is rated for up to 572 degrees. The ET-735 can monitor up to four probes at one time. It comes with six preset food temperatures for safe cooking- beef, veal, lamb, pork, chicken and/or turkey. It also has nine preset temperatures for game- deer, elk, moose, buffalo, rabbit, boar, duck, bird and fish.
When your food probe reaches the set temperature, the ET-735 will alert you through your synced device. It will also send you an alert if you travel outside the 160-foot range.
When you first open your ET-735 package, you will need to install two AAA batteries (not included). Then turn on your ET-735 and press the Bluetooth button. Go to the setting tab on your device (iPhone, iPad, Android or tablet) and scan for Bluetooth devices. Right away it should pair with your ET-735 . Then download the Maverick app to your device from the App Store or Google Play. Once you have the ET-735 paired with your device and the app installed, you can get to work. The app will guide you to set your ET-735 for proper grilling temperatures.
I love the ET-735! It has definitely helped improve my grilling. I love that I can place the probe in the meat, set my desired cooking temperature and walk away. I don’t have to stand by the grill. I can visit with friends and family or go work on another part of the meal. It is wonderful!

oh I love this we grill and smoke all summer long when we smoke a large pork butt this would come in so handy
This would be awesome for the rotisserie when doing whole chickens and roast beef, I need to get me one of these, wonder if I can find here in Canada!!
