Thank you to American Standard for providing me with product in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.
The house we purchased last summer, was built in 1989. While the house was in exceptional shape, we had some updating to do. Last month, we decided it was time to start working on the master bathroom. The bathroom has pink/mauve sinks, shower, Jacuzzi tub and toilet. The walls are also pink/mauve. The counter top and tiles surrounding the Jacuzzi tub are a burgundy/wine color.
When I envisioned my dream bathroom, I wanted it to be light and soothing. I wanted cottage white walls (my go-to white wall paint), white sinks, shower, tub, and toilet. I wanted somewhat traditional counter tops and flooring. Overall, I wanted it to match the rest of our house with a vintage-farm-chic feel.
After I painted the walls, we decided it was time to replace the toilet. I found the American Standard Cadet PRO toilet and knew it was the right one for our space. The Cadet PRO toilet is a high-efficiency toilet. It uses a flow rate of 1.28 gallons per flush; this is 20% less water than a typical 1.6 gpf toilet. The Cadet PRO has a space-saving design, making it suitable for smaller spaces.
The Cadet PRO is equipped with an EverClean surface that helps to inhibit the growth of stains and odors. It also has a PowerWash rim that scrubs the bowl when you flush. With the EverClean and PowerWash, your toilet will stay cleaner longer.
We had my step-father over to help us remove the old toilet and install the new. It only took the guys a few minutes to remove the old toilet. Then they scraped up the old wax ring and cleaned the floor thoroughly. They brought the Cadet PRO into the bathroom and began following the included installation instructions. In all honesty, it took the guys about 20-30 minutes to install the new toilet. Most of that time was spent looking for a part they had misplaced.
Our Cadet PRO toilet came with a Slow Close Toilet Seat. Just like the toilet, the lid has the EverClean feature. It is also designed with a sanitary lift tab so that users can open the lid without touching the toilet.
We are very pleased with our new Cadet PRO toilet from American Standard. As we move forward with our renovations, I will definitely look for more American Standard products.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

My toilets could use an upgrade. This looks like a great toilet.

The white is so much better than the previous color. My husband is in the process of selling his father’s house and the 1/2 bath has a light blue toilet and sink.

I just worked with American Standard on a faucet review, to update our bathroom, too. We absolutely love it, and the price point is unbeatable!

I have a very similar toilet like this one from American Standard with the lid that is slow closing also. I do like it very much and it looks nice too!

People, if you have an old toilet, replace it before you end up doing something by the seat of your pants. I ended up having to replace a toilet in a hurry, and ended up with an expensive Toto and I hate it. Hard to return a toilet! I would go with American Standard in the future, and also not wait until a crisis! then pay double and get half the satisfaction!

It looks great I really like the Slow Close Toilet Seat feature especially with little ones around . Thw lids are pretty heavy and my daughter has smashed her fingers a few times.

I would love a new toilet but don’t think my apartment manager would go for this one, lol. They did at least replace the toilet seat, so that’s at least new. I also hate toilet cleaning or even touching it, so this is a dream toilet!

I have one of these in my bathroom and love it, it never clogs up , always flushes and easy to keep clean.

Is it noisy when flushed? We have a 7 year old American Standard toilet but it is not an “Ever-clean”. When it flushes it sounds like a 747 taking off.

Looking for ideas for my small bathroom, I was a bit disappointed and your article gives me some relief. Using tile as baseboard seems to me more impressive and beneficial. Besides, attaching to the typical style, I was bored and the addition of fancy towel attracts me. Thank you for these awesome ideas. Look forward to reading your next write up.
