I’ve been working hard to transition our toddler out of our room. When she sleeps in the crib in our room, she thinks I’m an all night salad bar! While I don’t mind the fact that she still nurses, at almost 2 years old, I’m ready to sleep through the night again! Add in the fact that we are in the process of getting licensed for foster care and that we could potentially have another infant in the home soon, I want to relish in what sleep I can get right now. So part of our new routine includes taking our little girl upstairs, nursing her, reading the Bible to the girls (as she sleeps in her older sister’s room now), and tucking her into the Pack’n’Play with a couple of books. This has become a really exciting part of the routine for our youngest and she actually reaches towards her bed when it’s time, as she can’t wait to start flipping through her board books.

The poetic rhymes on each page are easy to read and the kids love hearing the story. They follow the matching pictures and really love that each page encompasses farm life and love.
Page after page, night after night, our kiddos are enthralled with this book. Our youngest has even taken to carrying it around the house some days and flipping through the pages. She will sporadically bring it to me to point out different animals and especially enjoys finding anything that resembles a dog as she lovingly calls them “Oliver”.

What a cute book and a great one for getting little ones to sleep. I love the board books so you can worry less about it’s durability and tearing pages.
