I don’t typically do an over-abundance of decorating for each season, however, I do like to incorporate a few things for each particular season or holiday. So I turned to Big Lots for help. If you are unfamiliar with this particular store, they tend to offer a wide variety of affordable products for the home (furniture, decor, and more) as well as yard items, toys, food, clothes, pet supplies, and more. I’ve found some pretty great stuff there over the years and I actually still own the two potty chairs I purchased from them about 15 years ago when I was doing daycare! So I was thrilled when they asked me to partner with them for this review on a variety of their Fall Decor items.
While Big Lots does have an online site, their stores have a much wider selection. So we packed up and headed to the nearest one to find some fun Fall decor. As soon as we walked in, I noticed that the store had a nice clean feel and was organized in a way that made it easy to maneuver. (Especially important when traveling with six kiddos!) We strolled past the Christmas section, which they were in the process of setting up and happened upon the Autumn aisles.
There were two aisles full of different Fall items. Rugs, table clothes, place mats, wreaths, wall hangings, and more. The kids had a great time checking everything over as we tried to decide what to pick out. (Lots of suggestions were made!)
Since we spend a lot of time in our kitchen/dining room area, I knew I wanted something to make it feel warm and welcoming for the change in season. My first thought was a new tablecloth but I found a gorgeous shimmery brown runner with leaves and fell in love. At only $10, I felt it was not a bad price either. Then, I began looking for a centerpiece to really make our table pop. There were several choices that I liked but kept coming back to a lighted centerpiece that really brought together all the things that Fall stands for: leaves, pumpkins, and berries.
The other area I wanted to focus on was our entry way. While I love wreaths, we have a glass “screen – but no screen” door so they have to be really skinny to fit on our main door without getting squished. So when I saw this Welcome Friends Punkin Sign, I knew I found a great compromise. It’s super cute and doesn’t hit the glass door!
Finally, we have a bench in our entry way. It occurred to me a few months back that it would look awesome if I’d put a pillow on it to match the season. So when my eyes fell upon this Thankful pillow, I couldn’t leave it behind. And, it looks perfect!
Then, even though it wasn’t on my radar, the kids came across some gel window clings and talked us into getting them too!

I love Big Lots. My friend and I shop there weekly. We love to get there for their markdown aisle too. They have really good values in all departments.

I forget to stop at Big Lots – ours moved to a new location and I kind of forget about that. I really like the metal pumpkin and the thankful pillow.

I love this store. When I visited my parents in Pa I always stopped by. Now I’m happy to say that I have not to far from my house. They have great decor & nice fun furniture.

We used to have this store here in town and I loved it. They had such terrific prices and a HUGE selection. I dont know why they closed, they were always busy! I wish they were still in town.

We have an Odd Lots pretty close by, if you can find parking. I think it would be a nice long walk, so it’s pretty close to shop there. I may find some Christmas scores there but I’d hate to have to walk all the way home on foot with them! I’ll check them this weekend. It looks like you do very good finding the deals.
