Dogs are dubbed a man’s best friend for a reason.  While our family has had several dogs over the years, most have truly become a very important part of our family.  They are definitely an extension and get treated almost like children.  Currently, our oldest “outside” dog is going on about 13 years old and we’ve had him since he was a puppy.  When we suffered our first miscarriage, we bought him and he helped us get through that very difficult time.  In addition, we also have another outside dog and two Yorkie house dogs.  Most recently, we decided that it was probably time to get ID tags for our Yorkie pups in case either would ever get away from us when out and about with them.  On my search, I came across dogIDs and was thrilled to partner with them for this review.

Oliver is a purebred Yorkie who just recently turned the big 2.  He’s feisty and has a ton of energy…. actually, he’s the main reason we decided it was time to get tags.  He’s a fearless fellow whose curiosity gets the best of him and he’ll chase anything that catches his fancy.  So I chose the classic style dogIDs Signature Name Dog ID Tag for him.  This tag is offered in both 24k gold or nickel plated brass as well as two size options.  Since Oliver is such a friendly and adventurous dog, I really liked that this particular tag boldly displays his name on the front.  The back is designed with up to four lines of custom engraving.

For our other Yorkie, Angel, we decided to go with the Glitter Enamel Stainless Steel Dog ID Tag.  She’s a little more timid and delicate, weighing in at just 3 pounds.  This particular tag is offered in three designs (paw print, bone, heart) as well as three color choices (blue, red, yellow).  Since the front of this tag is designed to be more eye-catching with the shape as well as glittery background, the name and information is all laser engraved onto the back.

Both of the ID tags we received from dogIDs are perfect for our pups!  They offer the security we needed in case a pup runs off while also looking sleek and stylish.
