The world has become so fast paced and competitive that gone are the days where kids just played all day. Most schools seem to want kids to have a jump on a variety of skills by the time they start kindergarten now. When I was a kid, we didn’t learn to read until first grade but I know that, locally, the kids are already reading by the middle of kindergarten. So with this push, comes the need for great resources, products, and activities that can help aid parents in equipping their children and getting them on the right track for learning. Along the way, though, I strive to make sure the items I use make learning fun. I recently came across Gakken’s Go Go Series Activity Workbooks and they definitely fit the requirements of both learning and fun!
Gakken is actually the #1 educational publisher in Japan and their variety of workbooks as well as classes have been utilized for sharpening minds for over 30 years already! And now that they’ve started offering their new tried-and-true system of fun-first Gakken’s Go Go Series Activity Workbooks to North America, I’m thrilled to jump on the learning boat with our son and foster daughter.
As soon as I got my hands on the Go Go Series Activity Workbooks, I knew that they were not just any typical school books. Each one is encased in a sturdy cover and every single workbook offers bright whimsical pictures on the covers to immediately draw kids attention. But don’t worry, the great things don’t end there. Upon opening, each book is loaded with fun activities, games, and learning that makes kids feel like it’s play time! Every single book offers a variety of activity stickers, reward stickers, and a wipe-clean activity board!
Each book in the Gakken’s Go Go Series offers a different theme that resounds throughout.
The different workbook options are:
- Go Go Cutting And Pasting (ages 2-4)
- Go Go Life Skills (ages 3-5)
- Go Go Tracing (ages 2-4)
- Go Go Drawing (ages 2-4)
- Go Go Intellectual Skills (ages 2-4)
- Go Go Life Skills (ages 2-4)
- Go Go Mazes (ages 4-6)
- Go Go Mazes (ages 3-5)
Overall, I have been thrilled with the entire Gakken Go Go Series line. Their books go above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen before in other workbooks I’ve had for our kids. The biggest way for me to know how successful they are is to see the excitement and joy on the kids faces every time we pull them out! Learning + Fun equals amazing success!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

These look fun and interesting too. I have always believed learning can be fun, and these workbooks prove it. Kids really do love to learn new things. and when presented in such a nice way as this Go Go series it makes it fun too. Great review and a great tool to get kids interested in doing different things.

I love workbooks! My oldest daughter is 7 and they have definitely always been her favorite part of our homeschool curriculum, they are just so fun! 🙂 She has a 2 and 3 year old brother and sister that always try to help her with hers! I love that they have them for their age groups too. Thank you for sharing!
Love the Life Skills books…..wonder if I can locate some of these workbooks in my area!?
