When making the decision to add a furry member to the family, I know that many details can be overlooked. It’s always an exciting time once everyone is in agreement and then the search is on for the perfect addition. During this time, I’m 100% focused on who our new pet will be and the other details roll in a little later. So now that our pet family member additions are complete for awhile with our last addition of a “big” outside dog, it was time to get some of the supplies we’d been needing. Since our big dog was taking the place of our older dog that had passed away at the end of last year, we were kind of starting fresh. All of the supplies used by our previous dog were well worn and needed replacement so we had just tossed everything. So with the addition of our half black lab/half Germain shepherd puppy, the XL Blue Sales Outdoor Futon seemed like the perfect choice! While Up Country Inc.’s Pet Futons are available in three sizes, we went with their biggest since Bear is still growing and will be a fairly large dog.
Made from tough, weather resistant materials and containing a mildew resistant inner pad, this futon is a great choice for porches, patios, decks, or garages. This futon came vacuum sealed in a plastic bag and took form upon opening. The cover has a zippered opening for easy on and off and I love this fun and stylish design. While our high energy puppy wasn’t too keen on laying still for photos, our kids sure loved the pillow and wanted to claim it for their own!
We were also in need of a new leash for our little Yorkie, Angel, as our other one had broke. After viewing all the choices that Up Country Inc. offered, we settled on the Big Bones Teacup Lead. Being she’s only 3 pounds, we don’t need anything heavy duty or rough and tough. Angel is about as gentle as they come. This fun multi-colored leash is a great fit for her spunky and friendly personality. It’s designed like a typical lead with a handle on one end and the clasp on the other. Measuring in at 6′, it’s perfect when we head out around town with her as she has room to walk but can’t get too far away.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. My Yorkie was about twice the weight of your teacup but he had trachea issues since he was young, and did much better with a body harness than a collar around his neck. I love the idea of a pet futon.
The tan comfort mat looks fabulous. Our dog is a service dog and I love how portable the comfort mat would be, while giving her a little rest during the day.
