The world today is filled with technology, electronics, and gadgets. While I could never claim to be real great at Science and Technology in school, it’s now such an important part of every day life that it’s truly important to introduce kids to these concepts fairly early. Thankfully, there are some great companies that have created awesome products that encourage learning while having fun and I’m excited to part with Circuit Scribe to share a review with you.
Geared for ages 8 and up, both innovative and unique, the Circuit Scribe The Ultimate Kit has a remarkable pen that writes with conductive silver ink that allows the writer to create real working circuits! Kids and adults alike are drawn to the amazing things that Circuit Scribe allows you to turn traditional circuit diagrams into real functioning circuits with their awesome non-toxic silver ink and kit pieces.
When we first opened the box, I was definitely intimidated! The kids on the other hand, completely bouncing with excitement. So we started reading through the activity book and once we thought we understood what to do, we got started. While you can create your own circuits on blank paper, I love the book they include with diagrams and instructions as that really helped us to get the hang of things.
As we started drawing the circuit lines using the included conductive silver ink pen, we tried out a variety of combinations for circuits. At times, we had trouble getting a good connection but with a little adjusting, turning, and making sure everything was lined up, we were able to get the fan, buzzer, and other pieces working. The recommended age is quite accurate in my opinion. Our younger kids definitely got in there and helped but needed pointers and help whereas our 9 and 11 year old were able to be more self reliant as they experimented.
Overall, definitely a great educational and fun kit. The kids (okay and my husband) have been having lots of fun with our Circuit Scribe.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

This looks so interesting and I know the kids would have so much fun with the Circuit Scribe.
Wow those circuits are really tiny and I’d surely need my glasses to figure out how to work with them. I’m sure the kids now pick that right up and yours look like they will learn a lot. It’s a great area to learn and definitely will keep them quiet for a while!
