Being a nurse (and a mom) I know how important body temperature can be in assessing illness. It is imperative that you trust your thermometer, as you are relying on it to help you make decisions in the care of your sick loved one.
I can’t believe how many of my patients tell me they do not have a thermometer at home. I feel that a thermometer is a tool that every family should have. There are so many styles and choices, not to mention a large price range. It is hard to know what kind is best.
I grew up using oral thermometers. I can vividly remember being so ill that I was having a hard time keeping the thermometer in my mouth and it fell out of my mouth onto the floor and broke. I’m so glad thermometers have come down in price. I remember when they first came out, they were so expensive you would only see the at the doctor’s office!

I have the old mercury thermometer that is about 45 years old. It is still accurate but it still takes 3 minutes to get the reading. I would like a new one and this sounds like just what I need.

This is such a nice thermometer. I like how easy it looks to use and how the baby isnt even fazed by it so it has to be comfortable. I also like how brightly colored it is so it is easy to find!
