When I was little, we had a dog for a short time until she died. I always wanted another dog but had to suffice with the hoard of cats that lived under our house and around the yard. When I got married, my husband and I bought the family farm and kind of inherited a dog as Tipper was just miserable when his parents tried to move her to town with them. By the end of the first day, they brought her back and asked if she could stay on the farm. Of course we said yes! Sadly she passed away last Christmas but, thankfully, we still have a couple other dogs that we love and cherish. So as Christmas time nears again, it’s time to start planning. Food, parties, outfits, and of course, gifts! As I’m making my lists, I had to include our furry family members since they play such a big part in our every day lives.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I always used old blankets for the dogs and they sure didn’t look as nice as these. It’s great for keeping the dog’s things separate, especially if they shed a lot.
