Royce got teeth really early. He’s only 12 months but he’s had eight teeth for a few months now. It’s so cute to see his big-boy smile. He’s capable of eating all kinds of table food now. I’m not sure that it makes sense to decide when to switch to table-food based just on teeth though. Nutrition should always be at the focus when it comes to food. Baby food in general is designed to be healthy and easy for babies to eat.
Gerber baby cereal was the first food that Royce ever ate, as recommended by his pediatrician. A few weeks later when he was ready to try purees, we combined his Gerber rice cereal with his rice cereal to let him adapt to it easier. Since then we occasionally switch between Gerber Rice Cereal in single grain, and Gerber Oatmeal Cereal in single grain.
We recently picked up more Gerber cereals from Target. Right now you can save 10% on Gerber Cereals by using the Cartwheel app! My target had a great selection including multiple flavored options, rice cereals, oatmeal cereals and even some organic options. Gerber cereals are quite affordable to begin with, so the coupon just makes them a steal.
Gerber cereals are made with VITABLOCKS. This means they include important vitamins and minerals for babies to have in their diet. For example, iron for healthy brain development, calcium for strong bones and teeth, vitamins C, E, Zinc and 6 B vitamins for healthy growth. Iron in particular is really important for babies to have in their diet up to age 2 because babies grow so rapidly in the first two years. Two servings of Gerber cereal provides 90% of the iron that your baby needs. Plus, they are made with non-GMO ingredients, and they have no artificial colors or flavors. Even the container is BPA free!
If you have a baby between the ages of about 4+ months use the Cartwheel app to save on Gerber Cereals to try with your baby.

I like Gerber’s foods. I like that these are made with non-GMO ingredients, and they have no artificial colors or flavors. I like that the container is BPA free. Thank you for the review.

Yes! Iron is so important in the building blocks of life!! My son never liked cereal plain so we have to mix it with fruit for him. Then it was a winner 🙂

I haven’t shopped for baby cereals ever, but glad to see they are non-GMOs for their little gut. I would think grains in general would be hard for babies to digest, but then again, I have issues with them, so maybe it just me.
Great post!! What a sweet baby 🙂
