Hidden City®: Mystery of Shadows is a game for phones or tablets that lets you be a bit of a detective. You search for hidden objects in cluttered scenes. It’s a little reminiscent of those books where you have to find certain objects among a scene. In addition to finding items in each level, there is also a fun storyline that leads you from one scene to the next – you have to find a lost person and you’re searching each scene for clues that add up to new hints about where he might be.
Right now there is an added layer of fun to the Hidden City: Mystery Of Shadows game. It’s holiday themed! Snow has fallen all over the city and there are Christmas tree’s and gifts around the city. As long as you are at least level 5 (which you can probably reach in 20-30 minutes of playing) you can participate in the holiday fun.
Some of the fun added with the new holiday edition include piecing together Christmas letters that were ripped up and haven’t yet reached santa! Find the pieces and repair them so santa will get the completed letters on time. There is also the “Tale of Fire and Snow” event which includes 36 quests that include 5 exclusive collections. If completed you will be rewarded with a Christmas amulet a snow globe totem and unique avatars in both male or female options. Plus, your old non-holiday themed quests are still available to play as well. With 48 total new quests and eight new collections you will stay entertained all holiday break! This holiday version of the game will be around through January 8th so you have plenty of time to get to work.
I just discovered this game recently but I’ve been enjoying it a lot. I love puzzles in general so I play a lot of app games. This one is different because there are several scenes available so it doesn’t seem repetitive like many other games do. I’ve also been impressed with the range of difficulty. It seems like many app games are really easy and then quickly get super hard. This one finds a balance. In many scenes you have about 10 items to collect and I often find 8 or 9 with relative ease and then get quite stuck finding that last item. It’s a nice balance of being challenged and not being too frustrated.
The game is free, though it does offer in-game purchases for those who are interested. You can download Hidden City®: Mystery of Shadows Game on android, apple or windows devices.

I am not much of a game person since I do not have a lot of extra time, but Hidden City®: Mystery of Shadow really does look like fun. I know my son would enjoy this too!

I’ve never played games like this but it looks super interesting. I can’t pass up trying a free game too. You may get me hooked, but it does look like a good time, especially for the holidays when I have extra time.

on any of the special events that give “magical gifts” what good are they? when opened they don’t add anything to my inventory of items, or money/gold, or energy, etc that seems to come out of the gift boxes when opened???
