I was sent Mario Party for 3DS and an Amiibo. All opinions are my own.
Earlier in the gift guide I talked about the NEW Nintendo 3DS video game system. Today I am showing off a few accessories that go great with it. I grew up enjoying Mario games, as did my boyfriend. You’d probably have a hard time finding someone under 35 or so who doesn’t have fond memories of playing Nintendo games in their youth!
So I am excited to be showing you Mario Party Star Rush as a gift idea. We’ve had Mario Party games in the past for our Wii console and it was one of the top games that the kids would want to play. They liked the board game aspect and the mini games included kept things fresh and interesting. Plus, everyone could play where most of our other games were limited to two players.
Mario Party Star Rush is rated E for everyone so even young children can play. This new version allows for players to take turns simultaneously so you don’t have to wait around. You can play with your friends, up to three devices using one game cartridge. Friends who don’t have a cartridge download Mario Party Guest in the eShop so they can play. The game can be played on 2DS or 3DS systems.
The game has an amiibo function. You do not need an amiibo to play but if you have one it adds an additional element to the game. For example, t he Donkey Kong figure will allow Donkey Kong to appear in the game and you will get one in-game item as well.

This is a good one for old and young since I’m sure many miss their time with Mario. I’m not a Nintendo nut but know this would be a popular choice for those who are and are looking for something new to play.

I used to love the original Mario Party (and honestly, I still do)! I’m glad to see they’re still making new ones.
Mario has been around forever! this sounds like a fun game. My teen has a Nintendo 3DS and loves playing Mario! I think she’d like this game.
