Thank you to Obermeyer for sending product in exchange for review. All opinions belong to me.
Michigan winters are cold, honestly most of the northern states winters are cold. Winter in Michigan can also be unpredictable. When it comes to Michigan winter we can have 2 feet of heavy wet snow one day and two days later have it be a sopping wet mess with mud everywhere. So there is no doubt that when I’m searching for a good snow suit for my family, waterproof is a top feature needed. Obermeyer keeps your little one in fashionable, yet extremely snow functional outerwear!
The little girl’s Skiter Snow Suit from Obermeyer is such a high quality snow suit with what feels like unending features. My first and foremost appreciated is the waterproof material called HydroBlock®Sport. The material is breathable yet waterproof at a level of 10,000mm. Another feature within the same category would be the Skier Critical™ sealed seams to ensure no water will be getting to your little one!
My next favorite feature would be the I-Grow feature which helps to extend the life of the snow suit by 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Once your child outgrows the suits regular size, a quick snip of the colored string within the sleeves and legs will release additional material to extend the limb lengths. If you have ever seen just how quick a kid can grow out of piece of clothing you will really appreciate this feature!
Inside the inner waistband is a cinch string to help the suit wear more true to the child’s waist line. I’m in love with this feature as my daughter wears anywhere between a 2 and a 3 in clothing yet we ordered a size 4 in suit to ensure a long wear life. This cinch strap easily adjusts and secures to her narrow waist size and keeps her suit from hanging off her.
The sleeves of the Skiter Snow Suit have a very small pocket within the wrist cuff where a small glove clip resides when not in use, again another very handy tool that helps keep winter wear all in one place.
The inner shell portion of the pant legs have a very grippy and stretchy cuff to keep boot tops covered and keep snow out! If you’re little ones are anything like mine and very finicky about the way their under layers rest in their suit you will appreciate this cuff holding things in place.
I think that about covers all of the feature that makes parents happy, but what about the kiddos? The Skiter Snow Suit does not lack in kid approved features! Both my kids favorite feature of their suit is the real working compass, while not able to use or operate one correctly yet they love the thought of pretend exploring using their compass to find their way!
This suit has more then enough pockets for the occasional snack while outside playing as well as any other little necessity needed while out sledding, skiing and enjoying the great white tundra!
My daughter absolutely loves her snow suit and is able to, at almost 3, get into and zip herself up in her snow suit all by herself! I have noticed a significant increase in the amount of time she spends outside with the Skiter Snow Suit From Obermeyer compared to her previous suit. My daughter used to come inside very shortly after playing in the snow before and with wet knees or butt from where the old snow suit let moisture in. With my daughters Skiter Suit we have yet to see a wet knee or rump despite having a very wet winter so far in Michigan! For more details on the amazing features of the Skiter Snow Suit check out Obermeyer’s website here!
I am a stay at home mother of two, who loves to create in every form, from cooking, to henna, to painting or sculpting, creating with my hands is my passion! I love to dance and let loose when the music flows right. Being outside is a special kind of therapy I think humans need more of as well as mindfulness! I love all things new and adventurous and am always looking to experience more of life 🙂

Definitely looks like a comfy snow suit, and very comfortable. I may check in to see how much these cost. Even though we haven’t gotten much snow down here in NJ.

I live in Wisconsin and I am searching for another pair of snowpants for my 3 year old and came across this brand, last year we brought me Choko brand and the snow pants dont fit, my question is, how warm will this keep them in below zero weather like waiting for the school bus or out side playing for school?
Wow!! Im so impressed with the adjustability!! How fantastic!! It seems like it would last a long time and be quite possibly the best at snow/cold blocking!! Plus how cute is that compass?!!? I think my son needs one asap!!
