Do you have an emergency kit of essentials ready in case something would happen around the home? Something as simple as losing power in the dark for a few hours can become extremely stressful, especially if you have kids. I never really thought much about an emergency kit until we started our foster care licensing last year. They had several things on the list such as a flashlight and radio. So I put together a few things but was really on the hunt for a light that would be more usable with a group of children. So when I came across BulbHead.com’s Atomic Beam Line, I was excited to check them out.
Sending a big thank you to BulbHead.com for sending us product for review!
First up, I thought the Atomic Beam Lantern would be extremely handy in case of an emergency or even just for fun when out camping, taking a walk in the dark, or even when out boating. Our daughter especially loves to use it at night to read in bed too. This portable lantern is:
- Waterproof
- Weather Resistant
- Durable Construction Built To Withstand High Impact Falls
- Up To 12 Hours Of Light
- Runs On 3 (AA) Batteries
- Free Standing Base Or Hang From Built In Handle
- Ultra-Bright 360 Degree LED Illumination
- Opens & Closes With An Easy Sliding Motion
The lightweight design makes the Atomic Beam Lantern really user friendly while still feeling sturdy and well made. Overall, great lantern!
Next, we have the Atomic Beam Headlight. This is a great hands-free option that offers ease of use too. It’s perfect for so many situations: emergencies, night walks, taking a pet out after dark, when biking at dusk or night, roadside tire change, and more. It’s features include:
- 40 Times Brighter Than An Ordinary Flashlight
- Hands Free Use
- 3 Beam Modes (High/Low/Strobe)
- Adjustable Focus Spotlight To Floodlight
- 90 Degree Swivel
- 5,000 LUX Of Directional Light
- Tactical Grade Heady Duty Construction
- Waterproof Exterior
- Runs On 3 (AAA) or 1 (Lithium-Ion) Battery
- Comfortable Adjustable Elastic Strap
My husband has been using his BulbHead Atomic Beam Headlight outside, around the farm, as he heads out about 2:30 or 3 every morning. So he really likes having this light projecting his path now instead of walking through complete darkness. The kids on the other hand, are utilizing their Headlight in bed at night for reading. It’s awesome because we can tuck them in and shut out the light and when they get tired, they just shut the Headlight off, remove it, and go to sleep! Overall, another fantastic BulbHead.com product!

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

I was just in time returning the 5 atomic beams I had brought for friends for Christmas. I suggest you return or do not buy an atomic beam until you read what is written below.
The atomic beam(s) I had has worked roughly 7 or less times in a 60 day period twice. The first product died after about 7 uses in a 60 day period.
When I called for a replacement, a man with an Indian English (from India) accent, whom called himself peter asked for a receipt. I thought the equipment would last. I explained that it was amidst about 20,000.00 in purchases and I did not keep a receipt. The man then requested a picture copy of the equipment be e-mailed to him to verify it was their equipment. I e-mailed the picture copy to bulbhead customer service, that and the purchase of the Atomic Beam Lithium Battery & Charger that was on file was enough for proof of purchase. They (bulbhead) sent a replacement in or about July of 2017. By early September, 2017 after hurricane IRMA the replacement died on it’s third use. When I called for a replacement. A man with an Indian English (from India) accent, whom called himself Robert asked for a receipt. I asked him to search history so we can avoid going thru the same thing again. As he searched history, he again asked for the receipt. See the original piece died , was replaced and discarded. Then the replacement died quicker. Ownership and proof of purchase had already been verified earlier. So the receipt issue was brought back up in order to avoid the warranty. Think about it, if the atomic beams died so quickly, it is happening a whole lot. So I asked peter whom began to answer to the name peter after calling himself Robert, to transfer me to a supervisor and he agreed and put me on the phone with a man with an Indian English (from India) accent whom called himself Zak. As I debated Zak about the actions of Robert and Peter, Zak explained there is a universal law that says you must have your receipt for a warranty to be enforced. I explained nothing on the package says that, acceptable ownership had been verified earlier when on the phone peter stated if you did not have the beam what would have been the benefit of buying the Atomic Beam Lithium Battery & Charger. However what is on the package is lifetime warranty. You (Zak, Peter, Robert, bulbhead) are stealing from me. Zak continued to argue and I ended the conversation with him saying, thanks a lot peter and he said, ” you are welcome” and lastly I responded, “I thought your name was zak” and ended the call. The bulbhead warranty for the beam is non existent and they will do all they can not to replace very defective equipment.-
I too got the same flashlight, it was a piece of sh++. Worked one day. The switch in the light is no good.

I have an atomic headlamp that has developed a short in the on-off switch. When I looked up the information about the lifetime warranty, it stated that I have to return the unit in the original container with the original receipt. I have had this unit for several years and have no idea where the original receipt or container are. But I would still like to have the light fixed. If you could explain what I have to do, I would appreciate any help.
My sister has been talking about this light for a while now. It is nice to know that it actually works.
