It’s a chilly day in Minnesota but we have finally arrived at the Radisson Blu Mall of America for our mini family vacation. This was actually the second Radisson Blu location in the US (Chicago’s Aqua skyscraper was home to the first) and was completed in 2011. Immediately, the awe and wonder of the gorgeous accommodations stands out from any other hotels around and I will be doing my best to share those with you in my Radisson Blu mini-series.
Upon entering the gorgeous lobby, our eyes fell upon the tissue paper inspired wall, meant to represent shopping bags. The edgy, yet classy ambiance is extremely appealing to all ages and we felt immediately at home.
Radisson Blu is actually connected right to the Mall of America via skyway but the transition is so seamless that the transfer happens without a second thought.
But no need to worry about random people wondering the hotel floors either as security is absolutely amazing! The elevators are run on card security which means that our room key needed to be scanned inside the elevator to get to any of the floors with rooms. In addition, the card will only let you go to approved floors too! So it’s a very safe and secure process that takes 2 seconds, yet eliminates any concern about who does and does not belong in a particular area.
The Radisson Blu offers 13 stories and 500 unique rooms with three style options, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor saline pool, Solimar Spa & Salon, on-site restaurant, easy access to the Metro Transit Light Rail, close to MSP Airport, and more! Each room comes equipped with free 5mb, high speed internet access to help keep you connected.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
