Our kiddos play games daily. Whether card games, board games, or even made up outdoor games, they are constantly playing together utilizing a variety of games. Since game playing was such a big thing for me when I was growing up, I’m happy that our kids also enjoy the same. Since the beginning of this year, our two older boys’ love of card games has increased as well so you’ll find the three of us at the table several times a week engaging in a game of 500 Rummy, Skit, or Crazy 8s. Because of our love of games, over the years, I’ve turned to Peaceable Kingdom as we love their simple, yet engaging and fun games and I’m thrilled that they continue expanding their product lines too.
Sending a big thank you to Peaceable Kingdom for sending us some fun games!
First up, the perfect size for slipping into those Easter baskets, Peaceable Kingdom now offers a fun variety of Card Games & Playing Cards. For the kids who like to have a specific game, there’s Gin Rummy, Banana Spit, Old Maid, Go Fish, and Crazy 8s. But for those kiddos who just want a fun “kid” deck of playing cards, the new line up includes awesome choices like Unicorns, Puppies, Sports, Fairies, Dinosaurs, Space, and Donuts. My kids went crazy over the new card designs as they are way better than the boring old plaid cards we were using!
Now on to what Peaceable Kingdom is most well-known for, their line of Cooperative Games. There were two in particular that I thought fit the theme of Easter and Spring. The brand new Bunny Bedtime is a fantastic choice for little ones as it’s geared for ages 2 and up. For this fun game, kids work together to help Bunny get ready for bed. Just roll the die and move Bunny as players explore the familiar theme of bedtime routine. Kids get to practice matching colors and shapes, make decisions, problem solve, practice listening, and work on social and emotional awareness. With no reading required, this game is perfect for parents and children to play together and connect while working on these important developmental skills.
Finally, Count Your Chickens Board Game is another fun cooperative game that is geared for ages 3 and up. This counting game needs players to help! The baby chicks have flown the coop and everyone gets to work together to help Mother Hen collect them and bring them back home. Spin the spinner, move Mother Hen, count spaces, and collect baby chicks in this cooperative game where everyone is working together and having fun. But watch out for the sly fox! He’s out there trying to stop you and puts chicks back into the farmyard. If all the chicks are in the coop by the time that Mama gets home, everyone wins! The game can be played in about 15 minutes and there is no reading required.
Tell me what you think? Have you ever heard of Peaceable Kingdom before? We have several of their games and every single one has been a hit with our family.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
