I am a Nutrisystem nation blogger. I am provided with a meal plan in exchange for regular updates. All opinions are my own.

One of the most common questions that Ryan gets when people see or hear that he is on Nutrisystem is “Aren’t you hungry?”

I understand why the question gets asked. Nutrisystem entrees look very small. However, they incorporate protein and/or fiber so that you stay fuller longer while on a low-calorie plan. So that is the #1 reason why you won’t be “starving” while on Nutrisystem. However, even if you find yourself hungry after your entree plus your alloted number of SmartCarbs (certain fruits or whole grains) and PowerFuels (lean meats or dairy) you still shouldn’t let yourself stay hungry.

On Nutrisystem, non-starchy vegetables are UNLIMITED. You are encouraged to eat at least four servings of veggies per day, but there is no upper limit. Common starchy vegetables are primarily potatoes, corn and peas, and those ARE limited (they are considered a SmartCarb). However, most veggies are considered non-starchy and those ones are unlimited. Examples include lettuce, asparagus, broccoli onions, peppers, green beans, tomatoes and more. Visit this handy Nutrisystem Grocery Guide for an extensive list of non-starchy vegetables.

Seems how these veggies are unlimited, you can eat them until you are full. There is NO reason to stay hungry while on Nutrisystem. Avoiding hunger makes sticking to a meal plan so much easier. Nobody wants to deal with hunger – and on Nutrisystem you don’t have to.

Being hungry can sabotage any diet plan. Pass me some green beans please.

It sounds like you have this under control. I looked at the list you had a link to. The unlimited vegs are so numerous. I see why you are not hungry.

I have a hard time eating the raw vegetables now, but there are so many that can be cooked. I didnt realize peas were starchy! That kinda threw me. I knew corn was, but not peas. We do eat quite a bit off vegetables but cooked ones.
