Our kids are jumping for joy over the fact that summer is just around the corner.  They have been repeatedly asking when we’ll be able to have a camp fire, sleep outside in our tent, and even give camping a try.  While some of these activities will happen more than others, we do plan on taking part in all three this year.  But there were a few things that I was on the hunt for to help with our summer fun and Rio Brands came to my rescue.

First up, I want to talk about their CAPTAINS PERCH DIRECTOR’S CHAIR. This dark blue, aluminum framed seat is just what I’ve been looking for.  I’ve never much cared for the typical “bagged” chairs because they all seem to have a really deep and almost rounded seat that makes me sit with terrible posture.  This chair has solved my problems!

The well thought out design behind this Director’s Chair is genius!  Not only does it fold flat for easy storage and transporting, it’s a high quality chair that’s perfect for almost any outdoor use and even features built in carrying handles.

Also designed with a melamine side table, it even has an indented cup holder which is great when snacking, having a meal, or just hanging around the campfire making s’mores.   I also love the padded arm rests as they provide a comfortable place to perch.

Then we have my husband’s favorite, the DELUXE MILITARY COT WITH CADDY.  He’s committed to a night out “camping” in the backyard with the kids already as soon as the weather is nice as well as an actual camping overnight adventure later this year and he was dreading sleeping on the ground.  Ever since he turned 40, he says his body just can’t quite do what it used to without paying for it the next day.  So when I showed him this cot, he was quite excited.

Because this Deluxe Military Cot has no loose parts, it sets up in a flash utilizing its patented tension bar stability system.  This polyester bed features powder-coated steel legs and frame for a sleek and innovative design.

I really like the storage pocket on the side as it’s perfect for storing a cell phone, flashlight, and other necessities while keeping them close by and easy to reach.

With an open dimension of 76″ x 26″ x 16” and weight limit of 300 pounds, this 17# Cot has been the perfect solution for us. 

Both of these Rio Brands products are seem to be extremely well made.  The designs are fantastic and the construction is solid.  While both are fairly lightweight, they really perform well and hold up to solid use.
