I remember being a kid and playing the game Sims. When you create your character in the game, it lets you choose from dozens of hair styles and colors with a click of the mouse. It was as easy as switching outfits! I remember thinking it would be so cool if real life was like that, where we could just decide to have really long hair one day, and really short hair the next, and then back again without waiting months for hair to regrow.
I used to dye my hair with little concern, but the last couple years my hair has gotten dry adn brittle. I assume it’s related to medications that I am taking (and need to keep taking) but I am really hesitant to use any heat or chemical processing on my hair because it is so easily damaged now.
The best way to switch up your look without years of growing it out, or dying the hair, is wigs! As a kid I always thought of wigs in terms of halloween wigs. I didn’t realize until I was an adult that wigs exist that look very realistic and can be used just to change up your look. In other words, having a collection of wigs really can let you change your hairstyle as you change your outfit like I wanted to do as a kid. I’ve flirted with the idea of getting a medium bob cut for a long time. Lace front bob wigs from Divatress is a great way to sort of test drive that look. The Bobbi Boss Lace Front Wig is roughly the length that I have been considering and it’s available in many colors. I think the f4/27 shade is really close to my natural color. The wig is currently $29.95 making it about the price of a haircut!
Have you tried any wigs? I’d love to hear your tips or tricks for styling them.

I too wear wigs because they are easy and fun. I like to keep my hair underneath really short.

I have never thought about wearing wigs before! I think of Halloween too. But they have definitely come a long way, there are so many beautiful ones now! My hair has been super long for years and I’m about to chop it all off for the upcoming Summer heat. At least now I know I have options for when I do, thanks for sharing! 🙂
I sometimes wore wigs when I was in the Air Force since they were so easy.
