Thank you to Longhorn for covering dinner in exchange for review purposes. All opinions belong to myself.
My husband and I are total foodies. Every vacation we have ever taken needs to meet a food requirement of fun new places to dine out. We love trying new food, new twists on old food, best of the foods, as well as adventurous foods. No matter how much we travel and eat I think there will always be place in our hearts for an amazing steakhouse. Steakhouse flavors bring me back to my childhood special dinners that I would get on birthdays. There are so many Steakhouses and such different personalities to each one. Longhorn Steakhouse is easily my favorite steakhouse. How have I chosen my favorite steakhouse?
Ambiance
I love the food and I love that I can get really dressed up for a fancy dinner or dress casual and never feel under or over dressed. The ambiance at Longhorn is so warm and refined, the art on the walls, the dim lighting, its perfect for a romantic date night, a fun double date, or a special occasion!
Flavor Profile
I like a Steakhouse that changes up their menu often with thorough thought into each new item. Flavors that intensify and challenge my palate are a must. Don’t get me wrong, I love going back to the same old flavors that bring me a comfort food vibe. When I can enjoy comfort food in a new fun way, I’m sold.
An easy shareable go to appetizer is always the Artichoke dip, cheesy, creamy, with a crispy topping, we all loved it and chowed it down.
Calamari was something I first tried when my husband and I were married in Portland Oregon. That specific calamari sits on a special pedestal in my food memory. Since trying it in Portland, my husband and I take every opportunity possible to chase that calamari dragon. Longhorn’s Sweet Chili Calamari sits an extremely close second to the best I’ve ever had. It doesn’t get any better than tender calamari coated in crunchy batter with a sauce that’s tangy and sweet with a just enough heat.
Parmesan Crusted Chicken is something I’ve made at home a ton of times but having it at Longhorn has seriously upped the game. The flavors were so savory and I clearly need the recipe because now theres no going back to mine!
My husband is all about flavored steaks and the new Hickory Salt Crusted Steak caught his eye immediately. The flavor of hickory had become one with the meat of the steak. He really loved it.
I saw ribeye and just couldn’t resist. Marbled just enough this ribeye was tender and succulent. Paired with perfectly cooked asparagus my meal was amazing.
Dinner just isn’t the same if you don’t divulge a little and get some dessert! I can fully admit my chocolate addiction, no problem. Hi, my name is Lakota and chocolate is my vice. First step is admitting right? My husband and I chose to share a Chocolate Stampede. Six types of chocolate with vanilla bean ice cream on the side, ya I said shared, but I may have eaten beyond that half point!
Now you can’t forget the drinks, we had some amazing white wine, a couple beers and some perfect margaritas, that certainly did not fall flat of their title!
Service
Now right after food comes service, this is such a big area for me. The service you receive at dinner can really make or break the entire experience or night really! Longhorn has never ever failed to present us with over and above service. We have always been greeted with phenomenal wait staff, always extremely attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and each item whether it’s new or a classic.
During this particular dinner were greeted with the outstanding waitress Austin and the manager Steve to address any and everything we might need. Friendly, relatable and bubbly are the words I would describe our waitress with which was perfect as we were out on a fun double date!
Like I said I love food and that doesn’t always mean eating out, my husband and I also love to grill out at home. The great thing about Longhorn is they now have a Grill Us Hotline, where you can call and ask any grilling question you might have and get answers from experts! The Grill Us Hotline is 1-855-LH-GRILL and will be live 11 a.m.-5 p.m. ET on July 2, and September 3 just in time for the major grilling holidays!
Like I said before Longhorn is easily my go to restaurant for almost any occasion but they don’t only provide food for paying customers. Longhorn has donated more than 17 million pounds of food to local non-profit organizations across the country. How much better can your dinner dollar be spent!
I am a stay at home mother of two, who loves to create in every form, from cooking, to henna, to painting or sculpting, creating with my hands is my passion! I love to dance and let loose when the music flows right. Being outside is a special kind of therapy I think humans need more of as well as mindfulness! I love all things new and adventurous and am always looking to experience more of life 🙂

We havent been to Longhorn in quite a while. The food looks delicious….we’ll have to get there soon.

We have eaten here also. We really loved the calamari also. Our first experience was pretty mediocre but they had just opened a few weeks before so we chalked it up to finding their groove. We gave them a second chance and it was really good that time.

We have been to the Longhorn here only once so far. The food was really good. I liked their baked sweet potato, it was so good. All we tried was good.
