I am Nutrisystem nation blogger. I am provided with a Nutrisystem meal plan in return for regular updates. All opinions are my own.

On Nutrisystem Flex Meals occur once per week and they involve you making your own meals from grocery store items, using certain requirements to ensure that they are low calorie and healthy. The details vary from women to men, and for each meal setting. Here is the chart:

Of course, you need to know what SmartCarbs and PowerFuels are. That is:

SmartCarbs are primarily whole grain products or fruits, and they are 80-120 calories each with at least 1g fiber.

PowerFuels are primarily low-fat dairy products or lean meats. They are 80-120 calories 5g protein per serving.

One of our go-to FlexMeals is a really simple chicken wrap. It’s perfect for the summer because there is no cooking involved.

I love the brand FlatOur bread. They make a lot of wrapst hat are high protein and high fiber making them suitable as a PowerFuel OR as a SmartCarb in most cases! I often by their “light original” wraps which are 90 calories each, have 9g of protein and 8g fiber per wrap.

We use different kinds of chicken depending on what we have on hand. On this day I used 3oz breaded chicken strips that were baked. The 3-oz serving had 190 calories and 15 protein, making it suitable to use as two PowerFuels (95 calories and 7.5g protein per serving).

On Nutrisystem you should eat 4 servings of non-starchy veggies per day, but you can eat more of most veggies. I threw in romaine lettuce on this day but I could also use bell peppers, onions, etc!

In total this meal had 280 calories, 24 protein, and 9g fiber. It works as two PowerFuels and one SmartCarb making it a good option for a a flex meal for breakfast or dinner for men or women on Nutrisystem.

I don’t care to add any dressing personally, but using the “extras” category from the Nutrisystem grocery guide you can create a homemade, low calorie dressing if you wish.

That sounds so good. I love wraps. I have not made them in a while. I will have to try again.

I keep meaning to try wraps . It would be nice to try chicken and veggies in a wrap as an alternative to salad or a stirfry.

I love wraps they are good and so easy. I also like flat out bread- it is good and the variety is great. They have a garlic flavor I really like. I like the idea of using left overs so wraps are a go to for me and I could see how they would work well in your plan!

I love this brand too! Wraps are definitely one of my favorite Summer foods, they are light for the heat and filling enough for any meal. 🙂
