I consider hair care a life long search. I find some shampoo and conditioner I like and then move on to the next after a few months of it building up on my hair. My shampoo search is always to find something natural with the least amount of chemicals in it. NaturOli has a shampoo that meets those guidelines. With a base of soap nuts I can be rest assured that the soap portion cleaning my hair isn’t too harsh for my scalps natural oils and environment.

Soap nuts or soap berries are an all natural eco friendly way to clean so many things. NaturOli has decided to use USDA certified organic soap nut powder in their shampoo and conditioner. There are no harsh surfactants stripping your hair leaving it feeling dry and damaged. After detoxing from regular shampoo for a bit at some point most users feel they no longer have a need for conditioner after shampooing with NaturOli’s Extreme hair soap nut shampoo.

When I started using this I was in the process of getting my hair color changed, so I had a salon shampoo mildly disrupt my streak of natural hair shampooing. Despite that salon disruption my hair maintained a pretty balanced routine of needing washed every 3 days or so. I chose to use the Extreme Hair Conditioner with the shampoo to help transition to fully natural hair care. I’m still getting used to figuring out just how much conditioner to use and I think my next wash will be attempted with no conditioner at all. I have pretty short hair and tangles aren’t really a worry. My only delay in not having set aside the conditioner sooner is honestly, I’m a mom, a shower comes when it comes and I’v been afraid to go through the whole process just to not have my hair feel as I had hoped afterwards and need to redo the whole shower. I have noticed that my hair is heavier now that I have been using NaturOli for a while so I think its time to cut out the conditioner!

I love the thought of being less worried about the chemicals on my body and absorbing into my skin as its rinsed off as well as what I’m putting back into the earth with rinse water.
