Thank you to Plant Therapy for providing me with products in exchange for this honest blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

At the end of May, my family flew across the US to spend some time with my husband’s family.  I was excited to go on this trip but was also very anxious. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to traveling. I won’t go into the boring details. Anyways…before we left, I consulted with my friend, Retha, at Plant Therapy. She suggested I use a combination of essential oils to help calm my nerves. Retha suggested the Plant Therapy Worry Free blend combined with the Self-Esteem blend. She said this combination creates a synergy her customers jokingly refer to as liquid Xanax, as it is amazing for easing tension. Retha also suggested Peppermint to help with my nausea and Lavender to help with overall relaxing.

I need a convenient way to use the essential oil while traveling. Retha suggested I used personal aromatherapy inhalers (as seen in the photo below.) The great thing about the personal aromatherapy inhalers is that they enabled me to be able to use the essential oils on our flight without overwhelming passengers sitting next to me. I made sure to ask the passengers around me if the scents bothered them. I was pleased when those sitting around me said that they too liked the essential oil scents and found them to be very calming. I am happy to report, all of our flights went great. I believe the essential oils helped calm my anxiety. I was able to relax and enjoy the time away with my family. We had a wonderful time!

Prior to our trip, I was talking with Retha about my daughter having growing pains. At night Savannah was crying out with pain in her legs. It was bad enough that she was having a difficult time getting comfortable and falling asleep. Retha sent Savannah a bottle of Kid Safe Grow Ease essential oil blend. I added Grow Ease essential oils to a small bottle of carrier oil for Savannah. Anytime her legs hurt, she can rub the oil onto her legs. Within a short amount of time, she can feel her muscles begin to relax and become less painful. Grow Ease has been great for Savannah growing pains!

I have heard so many good things about essential oils! I am disappointed in myself that I still haven’t tried them yet. I would definitely like to try lavender for its calming effects on both myself and my three children. Thanks for sharing!

Wow I wish they had the kid sore oils when I was a kid. I had horrible growing pains! Would wake up crying every night from the pain.

I’m interested in the personal aromatherapy inhalers you spoke of. Is that what is in the picture? Does the oil go on the white part, kind of like a wick?

I use essential oils every day. I want to look into their synergy blends.

  • Hello, Jeanine. Yes and yes. The four colorful tubes are personal aromatherapy inhalers. You apply the essential oils to the white wicks and then insert them into the tube. The top of the tube has an opening that allows you to be able to smell the essential oil fragrance. When you don’t want the fragrance, there is a tube sleeve….similar to a lipstick.

I have not tried essential oils. My DIL has and loves them. I guess I need to look into them more.

This sounds good. I’ve been using coconut oil on some skin problems, and also use scented candles for anxiety. Essential oils sound perfect for this!
