As a young adult, I was so excited to get my own apartment. One of the hardest adjustments was not having a washer and dryer in my house, though. I always dreaded going to the laundry mat because it was boring, inconvenient and rather expensive as well. A couple of years ago I finally rented a house that had its own washer and dryer hookup. I still just love having my own machines right at home, and not having to feed them $2.00 in quarters per load!
However, when there are problems relating to laundry it is now our problem to solve. A few months ago I noticed that our laundry wasn’t smelling as fresh and clean as it used to. I hadn’t changed soaps or laundry methods so I wasn’t sure what the problem might be. It occurred to me that I had been using the washer for 2 years without cleaning the machine itself.
EnviroKlenz Laundry Enhancer is a multi-use product. You can run your machine with the Laundry Enhancer to clean your machine. Or you can use it with laundry (and your regular detergent) to clean laundry that may have odors whether it’s those chemical smells from brand new clothing, perfumes, dyes or just stinky odors from being worn and getting dirty.
I have a top loading washing machine, so when using with laundry you have to add the enhancer after the washer has filled about half way. So you do have to remember to not just walk away and come back an hour later like I’m used to doing, but that’s the only downside. Otherwise it’s easy to use, you just shake, measure and pour in. I feel better knowing that I have a way to clean my washer itself. I also like having something extra on hand for when clothes get unusually dirty or stinky. Every once in a while I forget a load of towels in the washer and they get that mildew smell. From now on I will be using the laundry enhancer to re-wash stinky loads like that.

I haven’t heard of this kind of product. I would have to see if it’s compatible with my washer but sounds like a good idea to use a product like this from time to time.
