As a Michigan native, Ohio has always been a really easy to access state. It’s far enough way to feel like a new experience, yet close enough to make the trip affordable. Looking for fun things to do in Ohio? I have a few suggestions!
- Cedar point. This is by far the most known, but also very, very fun. Ryan wouldn’t mind going here multiple times per year.
- The Toledo Zoo. We went here in 2011 and a baby elephant had recently been born. It was so adorable to watch. The Toledo zoo is large and has many animals that are not at the zoo here in our area.
- Imagination Station in Toledo is a hands-on science museum for kids but it’s fun for parents, too! It’s a perfect way to spend a rainy day or just to get out of the house with kids.
- Mud hens baseball. I had never been to a baseball game outside of ones for my local school, so we really enjoyed catching a mud hens game one year!
- Ohio restaurants. When looking for things to do in Ohio, be sure to plan a place to stop and eat. Our favorite is Tony Packo’s, but there are wonderful restaurants all over the state. I haven’t been there myself yet, but I’ve read that Wooster Ohio restaurants are bragworthy.
If you live in Ohio or visit the Ohio area, I have a giveaway for you!
Prize: $25 Gift Card to Tony Packo’s. Giveaway is open to the US.

I may almost be 23, but I never decline the opportunity to go to Imagination Station with my little cousins. There is no way you can go there and not have a good time! 🙂

The best thing about Ohio is my brother and his family who live outside of Medina Ohio. The people are great with great values too.
we have two favorite restaurants in Ohio….Tony Packo is one of them. It’s an hour drive to get there, so we don’t go except for a special occasion, but it is SO worth it! That’s what we like to do in Ohio.
