I was sent a SONGMICS jewelry box for review. All opinions are my own.
As a teenager I was gifted a simple little jewelry box, with just one storage compartment. Essentially a wooden box. It was cute and I really liked it. However, as I’ve gotten older my jewelry collection has grown and was overflowing my little box. I decided it was time to upgrade to a more elaborate jewelry box. I was sent the SONGMICS Black jewerly box UJBC001. When locked up, this looks like a simple leather box (it’s faux leather).
It comes with two keys but if you do not lock it when closing, then it opens without the key. I have not chosen to use the key, but the clasp is rather difficult to get open even when it’s not locked, requiring a pinching and pulling motion in just the right way, so I’ve been leaving it open. I leave this on my dresser in my bedroom so I don’t feel the need to lock it up anyway.
The top lid pops open to reveal a mirror in the center, with two strips with holes in them on either side. You can slide earrings into these holes, whether they are studs or dangle earrings.
On the left and right of the top there are panels with scalloped edges, designed to hold jewelry chains in place, and a little bow in the center to help divide the pendants.
In the center on top there is a space for rings or thin bangle bracelets. Finally there is a little-closed lid box. I can see using this for loose pendants, perhaps.
Then there are four drawers. The top two are plain, the third has one divider, and the fourth has three sections.
I found that this left me with quite a bit of extra space, it seems rather empty. Having the top sections to divide my jewelry leaves a lot more space over the simple box that I had before. I can tell this jewelry box is big enough to last me for years to come. I also have enough space to store my partners watches.
