I partnered with Quantum Health on this sponsored post. All opinions are my own.
As soon as kids start back to school, it seems like colds and flu start going around. I have a cold right now, in fact! It feels like the odds of getting ill just increase as we get further into the fall or winter. I’ve partnered with Quantum Health to bring you some tips for keeping your family strong all winter long.
- Keep it clean. Frequent handwashing will help prevent bad bacteria from getting into your system. Lather and wash for at least 30 seconds before eating and after going to the bathroom. Be sure to clean under your fingernails, as germs like to hide there. Carrying hand sanitizer for any time when soap and water isn’t available is a great back up plan.
- Eat good to feel good. Eating healthy can help boost your immune system. Fresh fruits, veggies and lean meats include essential nutrients to keep you feeling your best. Getting vitamins and minerals in your diet is important too.
- Relax and recharge. Stress can get the best of you, so it’s important to rest enough to let your body recharge. Stress can negatively impact your immune system. Aim for at least 7 hours of sleep per night.
- Work it. Don’t let the cold weather outside keep you from being active. Getting exercise will strengthen your body and help you to fight off illness.
- Routine check-ups can catch problems before they get worse. Don’t delay going to the doctor when you start to feel like something isn’t quite right.
- Keep your hands out of your eyes and mouth. If germs are on your hands, they most often make you sick through contact with your eyes or mouth. Try to avoid biting your nails or otherwise putting your hands in your mouth, and try to avoid rubbing your eyes with your hands, too.
- Clean contact surfaces frequently. Germs hide on commonly used surfaces like door handles, cabinet handles, phone screens and keyboards. Wash those surfaces frequently.
- Cover your cough. If you cough into your hands, wash afterward. Try to use a tissue or your arm instead.
- TheraZinc Organic Lozenges can help support your immune system. I like to use immune-support products anytime I will be around a lot of kids, will be traveling, or otherwise around more people than usual.
Being diligent to avoid illness helps a lot. However, most of us will still end up sick at least once per season. If you find yourself under the weather, Quantum Health offers Cough Relief lozenges. I stocked up on both forms of lozenges to help get me through the winter.
Have you been sick yet this fall? What steps do you take to try to avoid illness?
Win it: A two pack of Quantum Health lozenges! One in TheraZinc Lozenges, and one for Cough Relief. Both in your choice of flavor. Giveaway is open to the US and will end 11/10/2017 at 11:59pm EST.

Excellent tips. How do I enter the contests?

TheraZinc Organic Lozenges sound awesome! I love that they are organic and not made with any artificial food coloring and flavors. My husband is a germaphobe, so we are always keeping our hands clean. Unfortunately, my 2 year old is a thumb sucker, and touches everything. She often gets a stomach bug.
Very good tips. I also like to make sure I drink plenty of water.
Thanks for the contest.
